Love bugs now?

We just got back on Sunday. We saw a few, but it was not bad. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have even noticed them except my daughter (4) hates bugs so she pointed them out by jumping out of her stroller every time one got remotely close to her.

If you happen to drive just remember to throw a roll of paper towels and a bottle of windex in your trunk...if you let them sit they can take the paint off your car.

We drove through a swarm of them last week. I swear it was like something out of a horror movie...splat, splat, splat|splat|splat. In a matter of minutes, the window & front of the car were pretty covered. We could see out the windshield and all but it was a big ole mess with bug carcasses sticking to the fender. blech!! We went through a car wash and it was still just eh. Thankfully Alamo said not to worry, it's the season.

But we didn't see too too many in the parks or around the resort.

I honestly had no clue what these things looked like, but in my mind I was picturing a cute little ladybug...well after googling love bugs, now I know what they look like and OMG Im totally grossed out! We leave for the world on May 16th and Im now completely paranoid about these freakin bugs! Im a complete wuss when it comes to bugs, spiders and all sorts of insects. Do these things land on you?

I thought the exact same thing and then I too googled it and decided perhaps Sept is not a good month for me to visit. They look gross. Good luck on your trip.

Yuk!!! We are driving down in our brand new car...so not looking forward to having dead bugs all over it

We did see some in early September last year, but not too bad at all. Really only noticed them one day when we were in Hollywood studios, and only in one part. Not swarm-level by any means.

It always seems the worst when you're on the interstate. If you're driving your own car just bring some windex and a roll of paper towels for the windshield. I've found bug and tar remover makes it super easy to clean them off the side mirrors and front bumper area super easy and super quick.

Just realizing it is love bug season and we go tomorrow. Curious if they are in the WDW area now? EWWW LOL

We just got back from Universal a couple days ago. The love bugs were out :) There weren't swarms of them but there was always a few consistently flying around.

Yes, you will need to be careful for the love bug...

...you don't want to get hit by Herbie. :-)
