Here's some info on the Love Bug remake:

Michael Keaton has joined Lindsay Lohan in the cast of Herbie: Fully Loaded, Daily Variety said Friday.

The movie is Disney's attempt to re-work the Love Bug movies from the 1960s and '70s for contemporary audiences.

The original -- directed by Robert Stephenson (Mary Poppins, The Absent Minded Professor, Old Yeller) -- featured Dean Jones as a racecar driver who drove a Volkswagen Beetle with a mind of its own to a championship.

The updated version -- to be directed by Angela Robinson -- is set in the world of NASCAR racing.
