:sunny: We just returned from our 2 week stay at Old Key West and I have to say that we were pleasantly surprized at how enjoyable Blizzard Beach was. There is something here for everyone ... the dare devil, adults, teens, pre-teen and kiddos too. Wow this place was truly fantastic with so many water slides .. 20+. If you are going to Orlando and you have the opportunity .. go .. you will not be disappointed! On our next trip I will make sure to plan a couple of days for this water park.

I couldn't agree more! BB is awesome. We had a ball when we went there on our first family trip to DWD in November 2000. My DS was 8 and my DD was 5 on that trip and they tried almost everything. A cold front came in while we were there and the park pretty much cleared out, but we were having so much fun, we didn't want to leave. Finally, lightening was spotted and they closed the park. We were given return passes and planned to use them on our trip last November. We were so disappointed when we learned BB was going to be in rehab during our visit. Oh well, we'll save the passes for next trip!

:earseek: No. I tend to be more conservative especially since my auto accident and nearly having my arm amputated ... it does something to that "dare" factor.

Have you taken the big plunge?

i know what you mean. We had put BB on our 'not top priority to see' list. Boy were we wrong. We went to check it out 2 hrs. before closing and ended up loving it so much we changed our next day plans to spend the whole day. All though by the end of the day my hubs and kids backs and butts were killing them from all the water slides. And yes my hub and 15 year old did the summit plummit. My 8 year old did the second highest slide next to it and got the worlds biggest wedgie. LOL!!!

many, many times! sorry to hear about your accident.....actually, it is a big-time thrill to do, but slush-gusher(the smaller slide next to summit) is more enjoyable.....I still do plummit, but, only a couple of times or it starts to hurt my shoulder blade.....

I am always surprised at the amount of people who don't use their options and go to the water parks. My family would kill me if we did not hit each one each trip.

Dd did summitt plummitt in a bikini and lost one half of the top-not sure she is going to give it another try. The lifeguard sitting at the end was also very cute which did not help. LOL

Just back here also and we lucked out with one warm day and a super time at Blizzard Beach. We went on the "family ride" (Teamboat Springs) more times then I can remember. The ski ride over to the peak freaked out my dh everytime though. I told him he could take the stairs but he decided not to LOL! My dd was just small enough still to go to Tike's Peak and she had so much fun here. All the lifeguards were so friendly and helpful. We will include this on our must do list when we go again.
