I am sure Evergreens gets mostly golfers coming in for a "quick" lunch. Those who are out golfing at that location, I suggest with sticking to a hot dog cart.
We had lunch today at Evergreen's, and both the service and food were bad. In our group there were two people who said their sandwiches were fine/good.
Two of us did not like our food at all, but so starved by the time it did come we would have eaten shoe leather in a bun.
The remainder were mum.
Bad enough for the food, but the service was the worse I recall experiencing at table service in a long time anywhere. I did not even leave a tip. And I don't know if I have EVER done that.
My bill came to $8.90 for a small ice tea and a sandwich that tasted no better than something from a gas station. (If not even as good.) And it was over an hour before our food came to us.
At half that price I would have felt nearly cheated. For $8.90 and bad/rude service it was ridiulous.
A party of two entered the restaurant just ahead of us and was finished and leaving long before we received our meals. None in our party ordered anything unusual -- just salad, burgers, sandwiches. Service started out okay and went progressively worse.
Reminded me of that old joke -- Nice place to have a restaurant.
One person in our party did speak to a higher up about our meal.
This was our second time here. The first time we recall how slow the food arrival was. We thought it was a fluke.
This visit made the last meal there seem pleasurable.
Even the noise level was so bad we could barely hear one another. Mostly I think due to poor surroundings not suitable for any noise level. No one was particularly LOUD. Just nothing to absorb the sounds.
Big ol' Goose Egg on a scale from 1 - 5.
My sympathies to anyone eating at Evergreens. I would not eat a meal there if it were free! It would be two hours of time lost.
