I watched a vlog review of Nomad Lounge and now I can't wait to try some of the lounges at the parks and resorts on our trip in September (I can't believe I haven't been to any!)

How does it work in the lounges in terms of seating? Do we wait to be seated or does everyone just grab any table that's free?

All of the lounges we've been too (Nomads, Territory Lounge, Mizners, Trader Sams) are first come first serve. If they are crowded you may have to wait, but tables turn over fairly frequently.

And good choice hitting up the lounges. They are collectively some of my favorite places on property! You can chill, have a drink, have some food, and never feel rushed!

I think most resort lounges are open seating. In Epcot, both La Cava and Tutto Gusto have host stands and will seat you. If you don’t want to be seated, you can walk up and grab a drink to-go at the bar (there is usually a line at La Cava). In the Studios, Tune in Lounge is first-come first-served seating (its only a bar - no tables) and I’ve seen the Brown Derby Lounge operate both ways - seat yourself or have a host taking names. To-go drinks are available at both as well. Enjoy!! There are a lot of good options out there and can be a great break from the park and/or an alternative to ADRs.

I plan on trying some lounges with DD12 next trip and nomad lounge is high on my list. We are only doing two ADRs for HDDR and BOG lunch. The rest we are winging it with lounges, QS and same day ADRs. She also is an adventurous eater so this should work well for us.

Nomad lounge is one of our favorites! Delicious drinks and appetizers and friendly bartenders. Plus, it is always nice to get out of the heat and relax in the air conditioning! We also like Mizners lounge at the Grand Floridian in the evening. If you time it right you can see the electric water pageant from the windows. And Trader Sams at the Polynesian is sooo much fun!!

Trader Sam's is another one I'd love to try. I love watching vlogs with restaurant and lounge reviews but I end up wanting to try everything!

Loved the Nomad Lounge. We sat on the outside veranda and had appetizers and wine there on a Friday afternoon. Breezy, comfortable chairs, it was a highlight of the trip. :)

Nomads Lounge is very good and we really liked the Territory Lounge in the Wilderness Lodge. We ended up eating dinner there one night and a dad with the cutest little girl sat at the bar the entire time we were there-Maybe mom was having a spa treatment or some relaxing alone time at the pool with a good book.

All the lounges we have tried are walk up and seat yourself. Off the top of my head here are the ones I remember:
Nomad Lounge - love it and go there every trip.
Tune - in - Lounge at 50s Prime Time - the drinks are o.k. and fun but it's a small space and we have never been there when we haven't had to just kind of hover at the end of the bar.
HBD Lounge in HS - another must do for us, we have always just seated ourselves, we did have one time when there was a pretty long line and a server was asking how many in each party because there were two tops available and people didn't want to cut in front of people in line to take them. We were two so she told us to just choose a table.
The Wave Lounge in CR resort - a bar and seating area, we sat at the bar and got pretty good service.
The Tabu Lounge in Poly - can get pretty crowded, we sat at the bar for a late lunch, the bar tenders were nice but busy as all heck so the service was a little slow.
Abacadar on BW - great bar and table seating as well. The bar tenders were very friendly and we actually hated leaving to go to our table at Flying Fish.
Belle Vue Lounge in BW - one of our favorites if we are staying at BWI. Very small bar and table seating. Bar tenders are always friendly, it's nice and quiet.
The bar outside of Jikos (I can't remember the name) we had appetizers and drinks here before our dinner at Jikos. We enjoyed the bar much more than the meal.
The bar area in Spice Road Tables - no sit down area but stand around tables and a bar to stand at. We were doing wine flights around the world so had one there. Great bar tender and service.
La Cava in Mexico - hard to get seating, always crowded but decent service and excellent tequila. They seat you.
Wine bar in Italy - can't remember the name, they seat you here. We have had good service and not so busy days and we have had not great service and busy days.
Tapline Craft Beer in HS (that might not be the name) Bar area that they prefer you not stand at, standing bars around the place and outside seating. You seat yourself.

So we found Tambu to be painfully slow even when there were about 4 of us at the entire bar!

Do you mean Victoria Falls, the lounge/bar in Animal Kingdom? We love that bar. Great design. :)

Isn't Victoria Falls the one at the AK Lodge? If so, I love that place - so beautiful...and a great wine selection. Not very often you get to try South African wines!

Trader Sam's is another one I'd love to try. I love watching vlogs with restaurant and lounge reviews but I end up wanting to try everything!
Trader Sam's is fun but they re not a typical bar. They have a great cocktail menu but they do not make cocktails that are not on that menu.

I don't think it's the same one. Isn't Victoria Falls the one that kind of looks out over Boma? I was talking about the one that is actually attached to Jiko's.
