apparently the new format will be four judges, simon and sharon to stay and another permanent and a guest judge.

Just axe the show that would be better. Even DW records a 60 min show onto hard drive and skims thru it in about 15 mins just to see comments & results. It just got so boring last series. Maybe the changes will help.

He's the only reason I don't watch it, it's far too much the Simon Cowell show for me - thank goodness that Strictly Come Dancing is on at the same time

I read recently that the Americans haven't taken to Cat Deeley. The segments of American Idol she appears in is only shown in the UK and not the USA appartently.

She isn't annoying me as much doing American Idol though for some reason.
She's still far too smug for my liking

I was never much of a fan of Cat Deeley really. I agree that she is a bit smug for me too. Don't like her on American Idol at all as she seems a bit "gushy".

I wonder who the new judge of X-factor will be then !! Simon will undoubtedly have the final say who it is anyway.

I loved the first series as I am a HUGE fan of G4 (who came 2nd). Have all their albums too, including a solo one made by the good looking blonde Jonathan Ansell, from before he was famous.

From the headlines I glimpsed on a couple of newspapers when I was at Tesco earlier, it is Simon who has sacked Louis and Kate. I can understand him wanting to get rid of Louis, but I think Kate does a fantastic job.

DD Rebecca, has seen the recordings of the show several times, and said that Kate was the ultimate professional. Becca said that once or twice things went badly wrong, and Kate had no information coming through her earpiece, which did make her angry off screen, but she covered for it magnificently on screen. She also said that behind the scenes she was very supportive to all the contestants, so it's a bit sad I think.
Simon, Louis, and Sharon were all very pleasant to everyone.

Cat Deeley presents that other dance show in the US - "So You Think You Can Dance" I doubt she will take over.
