hey so my family has alot of questions about my discounts that i just dont know the answer to! if anyone could help me out that would be great

1. so i know we only get 3 extra passes 6 times total, is that like once a month? because im only there from august 5th til january 3rd and thats not even a full 5 months

2. how do they get the discount at the hotels? do i have to book it myself? and can i book it as soon as i get there or do i have to wait two weeks just like with the tickets (and my aunts specific question, is there a code or something that they can use to book it?)

3. im not 100% clear on the free pass things. do i have to walk them to the gates or can i just give them the tickets and let them run around by themselves?

4. and i know i get discounts on food in different places, can i use it for my family too? do i have to be eating it with them? im assuming i have to be there myself to buy the food, but can i just buy it on my break for them?

thanks for your patience guys!

On the first question I'm not 100% sure but this is what I believe, you only get those six for the whole time you are there.

And for number three, you will have to walk with them at the gate. The main gate CM will ask how many is in your party then will take your ID and your main gate pass and will get their tickets from that. But then after they get that, they can go any where by themselves for that day.

Number four you can use it for your family but you'll have to buy it. They need to see your ID and your face and now I believe they are even making sure it's your name on the credit/debit card. And if you do decide to buy it on your break, remember you can not go back on stage wearing your costume. So you'll have to change, get there, wait in line, then go back and change again. So personally I wouldn't due to limited time in your break.

And as for number two, I honestly don't know at all so yeah. Hope the ones I did know helped :]

The discounts can be kind of confusing at first, so it's understandable. :)

1) You only get to use those tickets once (so they don't replenish themselves every month). If you need more tickets, you can get them 10% off for your family (you would do this in person at Company D--I did it for my sister, who just went to the bank and transferred money to my card).

2) You need to book rooms through The Hub, which you'll gain access to within the first few days. (I would imagine it would vary based on your role--I got access to The Hub the day after Traditions, which was three days into me being on the CP.) There will be a special link in The Hub for it.

3) The first time they use their passes each day, you will have to be there. They are Park Hoppers, so if you have to go to work and they want to park hop after you leave, that's fine. But on the initial use of the pass each day, you have to be present.

4) At least with merchandise (my family had the dining plan when I was there, so they never needed to use my food discount), you have to pay yourself. I would imagine food discounts would work the same way, but if they don't, could someone verify for me? :) I used the discounts on food all the time, but I also only had myself to worry about.

Hope that helps clarify some things for you! :goodvibes Congratulations on getting accepted!

Welcome to the family!

The previous posts provide the general gist, but for further clarification and understanding :thumbsup2
1. You receive a “Blue Main Entrance Pass” that entitles you to get up to three guests into the parks on 6 different days subject to blackout dates. If you get one person in on one day, you cannot “roll over” the other two on a different date. To put that in to perspective, full-time hourly Cast Members get 16 per year. In addition, you can purchase additional park tickets at a 10% discount at Company D locations. These discounts are only for general admission tickets. There is no discount for Florida Resident tickets given their already discounted price.

2. Hotel reservations can be booked either through the HUB, or by calling the reservation center using the codes provided on the HUB if you want to include the dining plan for you or your guests. You will need to do the booking yourself, however you can use your family or friends billing info to do so. Also note, after booking the reservation, you will need to present your Cast ID at the resort front desk within 10 days of check-in in order to verify that reservation.

3. Back to the Main Entrance Passes. If the individuals you are letting in are immediate family members (as defined by Company Policy: Parents, Grandparents, siblings, and offspring) they do not have to be accompanied by you. Any other person you let in, you must be in the park with them at all times. There has been significant leniency with this in the past. However, with the opening of New Fantasyland and other new attractions within the other parks, much stricter enforcement has been in effect. There is strict monitoring of the Main Entrances to all of the parks and if you are seen entering with people and then immediately leaving, you run the risk of being approached. Discipline for violating the rules can range from suspension of your main entrance privileges with a notation on your record card up to termination - used in cases of repeat offenses, or on the first offense if you are receiving compensation of any form (money, gifts, ‘gas money’, etc.

4. When it comes to using your discount, think of it this way, with the exception of resort reservations, any time you use your discount for purchases YOU must pay for it. Otherwise you run the risk of suspension or termination.

I know it sounds harsh, but these are the ‘policies.’ Granted, they may not have been enforced as strongly in the past. But with this new wave of product and service releases, especially with the MyMagic+ and New Fantasyland, there is much opportunity for abuse, and they are cracking down early before it becomes a bigger problem.

Hope this helps as well!

Ok so the total number of tickets I can get is 6? Or is it 3 tickets x 6 different times? This is probably the most confusing to me.
and if they want to go to the parks lets say two days in a row, will that be two tickets for each person?

And I get access to the hub just a couple days after I get there, which will have everything I need to book a reservation and dining plan, and I can use their info instead of my own, got that

The food thing, I figured as much and it totally makes sense

I get the whole thing where I should be with them and not just leave. To be honest if I have to go with them to get in I wouldnt want to leave right away lol. Id probably want to stay with them for the day, unless I have work

The only thing I dont get is how many tickets we get, can anyone try and clarify that for me?

Thanks for all the answers so far!

There are 6 days in your entire program where you can get up to 3 people in for free.

For instance: one day you use the pass and let in 3 family members. You now have 5 days remaining. The next day, you only let in 1 family member. Even though you only let in 1 person, you now have 4 days remaining.

I've never been a CM before, so hopefully I explained it correctly.

It's 3 tickets per day. With only 6 days to use them.
So technically if you use all three tickets each of your six days then you use 18 tickets. But if you use only one ticket one day, the other two you could have used that day do NOT roll over.
:hippie:

TOTALLY makes sense!

so i get a total of 18 tickets, i can only use 3 a day. they all have to be used within those 6 days? that kinda sucks. do the same people have to use them all 6 days?

Yes, you only have 6 days to use them. And no, they don't have to be used by the same people.

actually one more question ,sorry!

if im using 3 tickets lets day on day one, can i also use my discount to purchase more tickets? with my aunt and three kids its more than 3 people per day

I believe so, yes.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong :)

For the most part everyone get everything's right but I do want to clear a few things up.

When paying for table service meals the cast member does NOT need to pay. I know this first hand when my parents visited and we ate at the Coral Reef. They only give their cast ID. When it come to the merchandise the cast member must be the one to pay. Some cast members are very strict about that and if you're paying with a debit/credit card the name on the card must match the name on the ID.

When using your discount for hotels be clear weather you are on the reservation or not. That may affect the amount of the discount, and also determine if you need to be there when checking in or not. If you're not on the reservation you need to stop by the hotel ANY TIME before the party tries to check in to show your ID. If you wanted you could make a hotel reservation for as far out as possible beyond your program dates and still get the discount as long as you show your ID before your program ends. I made a reservation for Port Orleans for this may doing that but I had to cancel because I got accepted to the program again!

Really? That seems too good to be true :scratchin

Something on my Disney bucket list is to eat at every TS on property, but I didn't think it'd be possible/practical due to cost...

Yeah it looks like a good deal, but they add on 18% tip automatically so really you're only getting a 2% discount. It's better than nothing though! :)

That sounds more like it. When you said the CM doesn't need to pay, I thought you meant CMs got free meals...and that didn't make sense at all to me. Thanks for clarifying!

OOOOHHHHHHH oops:headache:. I meant that the payment didn't have to come from the cast member directly like with merchandise. Sorry I wasn't clearer

When paying for table service meals the cast member does NOT need to pay.

This is also true of Quick Service locations; just show the ID and someone else can pay. However, the only QS locations that have CM discounts are at DAK and the resorts.
