Lots of yummies! Sept 2014 dining

At FF they do offer a veggie sushi roll.
Vegetarian Sushi Roll - Silken Tofu, Avocado, Heirloom Radish and Young Carrot Roll, Cucumber-Seaweed Salad with Asian Chile Crema and Piquant Mango-Sweet Yellow Pepper "Ketchup"
You might like that.

Thank you so much!! That does sound amazing!! I'm so sorry your meal at B&C was disappointing. They used to get rave reviews but recently the reviews are lackluster at best!! I'm glad your milkshake was good though!

How awesome that you went horseback riding! Sounds fun and what a great experience for your daughter!!

Yak and Yeti - one of our favorites
We love Yak & Yeti. The decor inside is so cool looking and there is air conditioning!! It's always so hot in Animal Kingdom!

Check in was a breeze. Our server was very nice. She asked us questions about how we liked magic bands & fast pass +. I also have to say she wasn't the only CM that asked us this. It was never in a survey time way, it was always more in a conversational way. Also the CMs who asked us gave us their opinion too, which was mostly unfavorable for fp+. Odd.

Back to review, my DH ordered the Baby Back Ribs - slow-roasted ribs, hoisin BBQ sauce, chicken fried rice, sweet chili slaw, but he got fries instand of the rice and slaw. He loves those ribs and the skinny fries. He said they were very tender & the flavor was very good.

I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna - Chilled, sesame-encrusted ahi tuna, wasabi aioli, and sweet chili slaw with a side of fried rice. I really like the tuna, it's light & delicious. I thought the side of fried rice was going to be a small amount of rice. I was wrong, it was alot of fried rice, the picture is deceiving. As for taste, it was just okay. I wouldn't order it again.

My DD ordered the kid's Chicken Tenders - Served with choice of carrot sticks, applesauce cup, white rice or brown rice, but she ordered just fries instead of carrots, etc. She said the tenders were alright, she liked the fries, of course.

My DD & I both had dessert, but I was so excited to get mine, I forgot to take pictures. I ordered Fried Wontons - Skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons, vanilla ice cream, honey vanilla drizzle. This has to be the best dessert I have ever had, yum! My DD ordered the kid's ice cream sundae, she enjoyed her dessert as well.

Rose and Crown

I love the inside of Rose and Crown. Since it was really hot outside, we asked for an inside table & got it. The only downside of our dining experience here had nothing to do with the restaurant or server. We were seated next to a large party of adults who had clearly been drinking quite a bit & it was only 5pm! They very loud & obnoxious, thankfully they were at the end of their meal, so by the time our food arrived they were gone. Our server was a lovely young lady with a heavy English accent, of course.

My DD decided she wanted to order off the adult menu, which is rarely a good idea. She went with the Fish and Chips - "Rose & Crown's Signature Dish" - Beer-battered and served with House-made Tartar Sauce. She liked the fries but did not like the fish. I tasted it & while it wasn't bad, it needed seasoning, alot of seasoning.

I ordered the Apple and Frisee Salad - with cashel cheese, toasted almonds and cranberry vinaigrette. I loved it. It was very good & a nice change after eating so much all week.

My DH ordered the Grilled New York Strip Steak - with Fried Onion Rings, seasonal vegetables, and Red Wine Sauce. He asked for just fries as his side. He enjoyed his steak & fries.

My DH & I liked Rose & Crown, my DD didn't. But I think maybe she just wasn't that hungry to start with.

After Rose & Crown, we went to watch the movie in Canada.
Quick funny story:
While walking toward the movie area there are alot of lizards. I am deathly afraid of lizards. My husband threw something on me that I thought was lizard. I screamed & without looking swung my arm backwards at him. Unfortunatly, I hit him in his unmentionables.:bitelip: So of course being the good wife, I started laughing til I cried. When we got to the front, I was still laughing & the CM who heard/saw me scream & then laughing was asking us what had happened. I couldn't tell her what I had done, so I just said I thought a lizard fell on me. She looked at us like we were crazy!:lmao:

Back to food. After the laugh fest & movie, my DH & DD went to ride Test Track & I went to L'Artisan des Glaces. I bought one scoop of Caramel Fleur de Sel. It was heavenly.

Liberty Tree Tavern

Another great lunch. Our server must have been new because he didn't seem to know what he doing & forgot to bring us things, like small plates. But he was nice & it really wasn't a big deal.

First we had those yummy, buttery rolls with butter, so good.

Each of us had a coke. I love their mugs. I bought a set of four to take home!

My DH ordered New England Pot Roast... Our Tavern Keeper's Favorite - braised beef in a cabernet wine and mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables. Instead of mashed potatoes, he ordered french fries on the side. He really enjoyed his meal.

My DD & I split the Pilgrims' Feast - traditional roast turkey with herb bread stuffing, mashed potatoes and a garden vegetable. We got french fries instead of veggies. Both of us liked our meals. It tasted better than home made. I wish there was somewhere close to where we live that would serve this type of meal.

We love Liberty Tree Tavern & plan to go back next time we're at Disney.
Side note: all the seasoning was our doing, not the restaurant, we bring our own seasoning, lol.

Sanaa

This was our time visiting Animal Kingdom lodge & Sanaa. I was a little worried because of our picky eaters. The decor was amazing inside & our waiter was very nice & helpful. He also had terrible bad breath, lol. I was a bad dining reviewer because after our appetizer, I forgot to take pictures.

First we ordered Indian Style Bread Service - Choice of 3 breads and three accompaniments. We went with the plain, garlic, & spiced naan bread. The accompaniments were Spicy Jalapeno-lime pickle, Roasted Red Bell Pepper Hummus, & the Mango Chutney. I liked the hummus the best, the mango was ok, the jalapeno was very, very hot. We all like spicy food, we're from Louisiana & are raised on spicy food. But the jalapeno one was crazy hot. We all liked all the breads. They are very filling.

My DH ordered a Sanna Burger, plain. He said it was okay, but chewy, not sure what that meant.
My DD ordered the kid's Grilled Chicken Breast - served with basmati rice, seasonal vegetables. Dessert: Sliced Apples. Served with choice of small lowfat milk or small water. She wasn't very thrilled with it.

I had the Tandoori Shrimp Signature Sandwiches From the Tandoor Ovens - Served open-faced on Naan Bread with Minted Greens, Tomato, Onion, and Cucumber Raita. I liked it, but after eating the naan bread, I was fairly full & couldn't eat all my entree.

We probably won't be going back to Sanaa. It's not a bad restaurant. It's just not for us & my picky eaters.

Boardwalk Bakery

Another disappointment for me here. I bought a caramel ganache. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this wasn't it. It didn't taste badly, I just didn't like it. The texture was weird to me.

I might have to give up on the bakery. That's two disappointments there.

Last review. Boardwalk Inn Room Service.

I like room service at BWI. It was quick, about 30min. And everything was exactly as we ordered it.

I ordered Sauteed Shrimp with humus. I enjoyed it. The only issue I have with it is there is too much oil in the dish. I tipped my bowl to drain out some of it before eating.

Please excuse this next picture. My DH was eating on the bed & it's not a great picture of the food. He ordered a hamburger & chips. He liked it.

I didn't get a picture of my DD's meal. She ordered Grilled Fish of the Day - with choice of small lowfat milk or small bottled water. Served with green beans and fingerling potatoes. Dessert: Fruit Cup. The fish was tilapia. She enjoyed her meal.

I do love room service. It's expensive but so nice to have food brought to you in the convenience of your room.

Well that's the end of my review, I hope everyone enjoyed it.
Good news, we are taking a shorter trip to Disney in December. Yay!:jumping1:
We will be going to MVMCP, so excited. We will be revisiting some our favorite restaurants. I'll try to do another review when we get back.

This is our future line up:

ESPN Club
San Angel
Captain's Grill
Liberty Tree
Coral Reef
Teppan Edo
Chefs de France
Kona Cafe

Enjoyed the review!! I am so glued to the DISboards right after a trip!

We went to the Soiree this past Friday night, and we had the same experience with clueless CMs. Right after the fireworks we headed to the right of the castle to the path where the wishing well is. Getting there was like a salmon swimming upstream, very hairy, and was a relief to finally get there. Only to see the path roped off. ? I asked the rude CM where we were supposed to go, and he told me to go back to Main Street. Well there was no way I was heading back into that, so I just stood there, and I kid you not, not one minute later he dropped the rope and let us go through. I said, "I thought you said we had to go back to Main Street??!" And he replied, "Well, I just got cleared". Well then, how about just telling me to wait a minute. If I had taken 30 minutes to circle the castle I would have been downright mad. As it was, I was just mildly irritated. I agree that the parade and fireworks spot was great and it was a neat experience, especially meeting all those villains in one shot. I wouldn't consider doing it again, though. Glad I got it out of my system!

Glad you enjoyed our review. It's so hard to remember to take pictures before we start eating, :). We felt the same way with the soiree, except we were mad by the time we got to the entrance. We won't do it again either.
