Lots of threads being moved over here, should picture threads go to photos?

I guess the title is a bit self explanatory. I've noticed a number of threads being moved over to the Community board that were originally posted in the Theme Parks Attraction and Strategy main forum. I think moving them to this Community board is almost sending them to die a slow death (I don't agree with some of the moves, but won't debate that). If we are going to make the community board the place to discuss the parks (not involving attractions or strats) I think the photo threads should be moved into the photo forum. I find they clutter the forum up and, to me at least, makes more sense to be in the photography forum.

Given that the DIS is in many ways the premiere place to find and share Disney info I totally agree with your point that picture threads are buried far 'too deep' in the forums.

I agree with moving park/attraction photos to the Photography forum if we look at the park picture threads strictly from the photography angle but I also know from experience that some people browse picture threads for attraction awareness and information so wouldn't instinctively look for these pictures in a Photography forum. In fact, I would bet that many long time DISsers are unaware that a Photography forum exists at all.

If we move the picture threads from Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies then perhaps, logically we should also move all the picture threads from the Resorts Community forum and elsewhere as well.

Even if these threads stay where they are I would like to see more prominent notices placed in Board titles indicating picture threads. To me it's not obvious how to find subcategories such as photos and games and I have been a member for many years. In fact, I remember when people posted park pictures in the Community forum!

@klmall That is a good point. Perhaps a sub category for photo threads in TPaS forum? It could be added to the already existing Community, FP+, Happy Dance, and Promo sub forums.

Maybe that would work Boski; I'm not sure what would be best for the average DISser but that would definitely be an improvement over the current situation.

The description of the community suforum reads as this, "The place for pictures, games & other fun threads for the Theme Parks Community!"
