Hello. I have just discovered this site, and hoped I could get some help. I am planning a 7 nite trip to WDW, but I am going alone, so everything is more expensive.:(
Here are my questions:

What sort of deals can you get with an annual pass on deluxe resorts? Can you get the annual pass when you get to WDW and still get the discounts, or is there some way to get the annual pass ahead of time?

I have always wanted to stay in the GF. Does it ever discount?

If I got a PT job at the Disney Store, would there be any benefit for packages? Or are there ever any discounts for nurses at Disney, like there sometimes are for teachers or military?

And, last question, I promise... has anyone ever been to Victoria and Alberts and seen anyone dining alone? Would it be too uncomfortable?

This is my dream vacation, so I wanted to work in some splurges since I will be down there for my 30th. But things are so expensive, I may be back on the budget plan. By the way, I will be going during value season.

Thanks. Lady C

Welcome LadyC! happy birthday. What a way to spend your 39th! Good for you!

First of all, if you have your dates set, and they are within the dates of the current discount code period, generally now until chirstmas, call and make your reservation. If the rate is real good for the GF then you can book the AP rate and activate your AP when you arrive in FL. Ask for availability for AP rates or BAT or BAP rates. All three are available now with different resorts still available. Read the entire section on mousesavers.com on saving at Walt Disney World. Then you can come back with more specific questions.

It is usually cheaper to book room only and add on a ticket. They are running pretty good package prices. It really depends on what you want to do and how often, etc. There is lots to do at the delux resorts. They are a vacation in themselves without the theme parks!

The Swan and Dolphin do have good rates for nurses (I think they are still available).

Everyone here is very willing to help. Have fun reading. I started a binder with all my notes and printed pages from different web sites. It has helped me time and time again.

Again, welcome to the board:wave2:

I'll be 30 on Oct 15th..and that's what I wanted to do!!

As far as working at Disney Store, they are in such limbo as far as benefits, but I know when I worked there last yr, I got into the parks free and 50% off hotel...BUT...there were only X amount of rooms available at certain places at that rate. I don't know if all that is still applicable now.
Search the web..you'll find deals! Have a great time!
