So my DH has agreed and we're heading to WDW for Christmas!!!! I'm SUPER excited! We're upgrading a little bit this go round, and we need some advice from all you AWESOME DIS'ers!!! :D

1) What is the "best" of the three: Caribbean Resort, Coronado Resort, or PO French Quarter?

2) When does WDW have their decorations up for Christmas? First week of December?

3) If you had a choice to fly first-class 6 hours to get to WDW or upgrade your resort, which would you do?

4) We did the Dining Plan last time, and didn't mind it, but is it worth it this year?

Please help! We really REALLY wanna book soon!!

You'll get a lot of different opinions so use your judgement for what's best for you.

We LOVE POFQ. Pretty close parking lot, great pool. Don't care for CR because there's a lot of walking to get anywhere. CR ditto.

I believe around Thanksgiving if I'm not mistaken.

3) If you had a choice to fly first-class 6 hours to get to WDW or upgrade your resort, which would you do?

1st class and stay at POFQ.

4) We did the Dining Plan last time, and didn't mind it, but is it worth it this year?

It depends on how you like the restaurants. When DH and I first got married there were only 2 Disney hotels and Fort Wildnerness. We stayed off property and ate only burgers. Now we like to partake in the nicer sit down restaurants.

Please help! We really REALLY wanna book soon!!

Oh, and I totally have to change my signature.. Hahaha, it's been a while! ;)

HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

POFQ

I believe by the week prior to Thanksgiving.

Upgrade resort. 6 hours vs days

We like the dining plan, but we have decide that the changes have made it less appealing. So, no to DDP.
Please help! We really REALLY wanna book soon!!
Have fun planning. The trip starts here!

Have to agree with the last poster too...so many of these questions are your own personal preferences!!! I believe all 3 of those resorts are very nice, so whatever you like best!! As far as Christmas decorations...I know MVMCP starts the middle of Nov...I believe the 12th...so I would have to say you'd be safe for the first week in Dec...they will be up!!! For the plane...I would definately use the money towards the resort...my thought is you are gonna spend much more time in a hotel room than on a plane...even if it's just sleeping...and lastly...we have never done the dining plan, so I guess I can't add anything there!!!
Have a FABULOUS TRIP!!!!!!!

As to which resort? what do you like, they are each different and have different things that make them special.
Deffinately trade up on the resort over first class on flight. Are you going in 2007? or 2008, the dining plan for 2008 has changed signifacantly be sure you understand the plan as it will be when you travel.

OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!! My DH is the bestest!! He just told me to pick my resort and we're staying! And we're gonna travel first class! So, we're now staying in the Poly!! It's where I've ALWAYS wanted to stay!! Thanks so much for your guys' help!

If the 2008 plan is so different, is the 2007 plan same as it was two years ago?
