I love the update! We're going to do dinner at Akershus for Sydney's 2nd birthday...figured it would be nicer to have them be able to talk to her for that. I never bring my ADR #s with me...I will now though! I would have been freaking out!

I am glad Lilian got to see her favorite princess! It sounds like a magical time!

Oh, and are the pictures they take free? Can they be added to your photopass card? Generally I skip the picture when it's an "extra" so they don't bug me about buying it, but I don't want to skip it if it's free!

Weird that your ADR was cancelled

On your receipt it had a reorder of eggs.. I know I should know what this means... and I suspect, but does this in fact mean that you can order more of the food brought out to you and it is still included?

That is my sentiments exactly too Connie! It truly was a magical moment and I am very thankful they got us in despite the mix up.

glad to see an update...we enjoyed bfast there too in '09 so glad a scary situation of your ADR mysteriously being canceled didn't keep you from eating there and meeting the lovely Princesses!

I have no idea how it happened!! I am hoping it was just an honest mistake with switching numbers around when someone else canceled their ADR. I am just very thankful they let us in despite it. I would not have left the podium until they had since it was NOT my mistake.

Yeah for updates!!!! Thanks, but did you have to leave it on such a cliff hanger...the absolute worst moment of the trip coming up?

I know it is a cliff hanger but it was the most feasible stopping place for me.

The princesses were all great. Snow White talks very high pitched and nasally so I was slightly cringing at that. The only one that I was meh about was Cinderella but they were all fantastic with Lilian!!

Hi Ann Marie! I am so thankful they made it work. I honestly was waiting for them to say it would not be possible but I would have advocated for it since I did not cancel the ADR.

I know Lilian will outgrow the princesses eventually. I'm not looking forward to that day either.

Thank you! I am glad they were willing to work with us. We had done some switching of ADRs around a month or so before the trip but I knew that one was not going to be one we changed.

The worst moment...not really something we can laugh about but it is redeemable.

Hi Christa! Please do pack your ADR numbers!! Put them on a slip of paper with your KTTW card. I will always keep them with me now.

It was one of those moments that ever parent dreams about when they plan their trips to Disney--the magical element that is so quintessential Disney.

They are free (well included in the price of your meal)!! You definitely need to plan on doing them. You get an 8 x 10 and a 4 x 6 photo (same picture) in a photo holder. I never got the option of adding them to my PP card which is why I need to take a picture or scan them in to show you all. If you want Belle's autograph--get it before or after your photo. Belle does not walk around to the tables.

Thank you! The eggs, potato and meat are family style so they bring out an initial set of food but you can reorder whichever components as many times as you would like. It is nice because you get those brought right to you as oppose to having to go up to the buffet for them.

I am so thankful they let us in despite the canceled ADR. I knew when my name was not on the list at the front there would be an issue. I guess I should have spoken up sooner to let the host know that but it all worked out.

I've just read through everything and am on eggshells wondering what the horrible thing was. Lily is just darling and has great taste in princesses, especially since Ariel is my favorite princess also.

You are very kind to take on planning a GG with a Disney expert along. I'm sorry you had challenges, but hope your trip was still magical.

I just read through your whole trip report. I'm loving it! I'm associating with it because DH and I are planning on taking DD for her 4th birthday and we are going to be driving as well. We have a few years to go, but when I saw that's what your trip report was I said "man! I have to read this!" and I'm so glad I am! Your daughter is adorable and I love her face when she is meeting the characters! DD loves Ariel right now and I can't even imagine what it would be like if she saw her "in person"! I'm sure I would be in tears too. I look forward to the day that she sees the castle and the characters.

Can't wait to read more! Oh, and I love your chart that you made planning what you are doing each day of your trip. That's totally something that I would make!
