I'm thinking Desmond thinks he has to keep 'resetting' the computer based on whatever was going on on the island years ago to keep him quaratined (sp?). Remember he asked Locke if any of the castaways had gotten sick and was surprised when they hadn't.

Regarding the DHARMA symbol on Desmond's shirt, the circuit breaker box, on all the food in that pantry and on the shark's fin:

My friend who has the DVDs looked at them closely this weekend. He looked at the scenes with the polar bear and couldn't find any symbols on the polar bear. Just an FYI...

He has been playing us all along! Somehow I figured he would come around sooner or later.

Wonder what is up with the girl and why she is against our guys.

What do you think the computer really does? I would have to play with it to look at the programs to see exactly what it does even though the movie said to only use it to enter the code.

I hate not knowing this stuff! But I do love trying to figure it out. They have me soooooo hooked.

I have been watching Jin's facial expressions very carefully since the beginning as I suspected he spoke English. I did not see any clue.
As usual, a small bit of answers and more questions..................

I think I read too many spoilers.

We know Ana Lucia was on the plane so she is a survivor not an other. I'm assuming everyone else with her are survivors too since she isn't freaked out by them. I think the tail section survivors have had an encounter with the others just as our survivors have.

I also think they are the people Boone contacted on the radio and who are alluded to in the 'they are the survivors they thought they were' promo.

I just feel kinda ripped off, nothing is shocking to me. Nothing is making any sense. I'm kinda bored. While I don't know the whole big mystery, it all just seems to complex and I'm getting disillusioned.

First post on any Lost thread...but honestly, I watched Season One over the summer and now I'm addicted.

Was anyone else annoyed that we were watching the scene with Jack and Desmond and the gun/Locke for the THIRD TIME!? I groaned when the scene started and felt like we were never going to get past that!

Maybe it is a miracle that Jin can speak English...like Locke being able to walk again. The island cured him.
