Lost Ticket - It happened to me

Just got back from an 8 day trip to WDW as part of a Magical Gathering.

I guess I was going too fast at the FastPass machine at Kali River Rapids, because after I met up with my group after a FastPass run, I only had 12 of the 13 tickets I left with to get FastPasses.

I knew from reading these boards that you should be able to get a new ticket if you had copies if the backs of the tickets.

I ordered my 8 day hopper passes from TicketMania dot com and when they sent them they included a piece of paper with a copy of the backs of all of my tickets, so I just brought that with me.

After a short panic attack, I went back to my room at CR, found the paper, compared all the tickets I had to the copies and figured out which one was missing. Walked over to Guest Services at MK and explained the situation. They smiled and said I did a good job covering myself "just in case" and gave me a new ticket within 30 seconds.

What a great relief! Thanks Disney and thanks Ticketmania for making the copy for me!

I lost mine once at an off site hotel at Disneyland while waiting for incompetent bell boys to get a mailed package they lost...they replaced the one I had and added a day.

This is great to know. I also received my tickets from Ticketmania and didn't know why they sent copies of the back of the tickets. Now I understand. I'll feel better now giving the tickets to my teens to hold on to. I'll just make sure I take the copies with me.

Ticketmania is great!

I made extra copies of ours, so we can be sure we have a copy with us at the parks - plus a couple of extras to keep in the car in case that copy gets lost or wet or something.

I was suprised at the number of lost tickets I saw at the parks last week. At AK, I was attempting to FastPass Dinosaur when I found the previous FastPasser's ticket still in the machine. Luckily I was able to run him down.

Another day, at MGM, I saw a ticket blowing down the street like a tumbleweed by the front entrance. A CM picked it up, but I don't know if he knew who it belonged to.

I was clinging to ours like they were gold!

I'm glad to hear that they are able to replace the lost cards so quickly and easily when you have the card info with you! We bought our tickets yesterday at the Disney Store and the CM handed me a slip of paper from the cash register that had the card numbers printed on it, along with the price for each card, and told me to keep it separate from the tickets themselves.

This is excellent information to pass on to other people, and will hopefully help someone to avoid a miserable trip due to a lost ticket.

And we were lucky too, in December. We had bought the 3 day tickets from the Alamo/WDW site, and the CM was able to figure out which one needed to be replaced. DS had left his in the FP machine.
