Lost Season 4 *****SPOILER**** Thread!!

Island people can't die off the island. I think it was a hint that Widmore is an island person.

I agree. I believe that Widmore was one of the sailors on the Black Rock (along with Richard Alpert and, now, Locke).

From this weeks episode, I think Ben has already moved the island once to hid it from Widmore.

That seems to be true, except I'm convinced that it was Michael in that coffin. He wasn't able to die off island before because his "constant", Tom (aka Mr. Friendly) was around. I think once Tom was killed in that alley, Michael lost his "constant" and was finally able to commit suicide. I know, my own crazy theory.

I also think that Widmore and Richard Alpert might have been on the Black Rock. But are you saying that Locke was also on the Black Rock?

Also, did you notice that Locke's mom is named Emily and so is Ben's mom? Is there any way that they are brothers? Crazy idea, I know...

And about Michael being in the coffin. You don't think that his mom and Walt would have gone to the funeral? Wow, that's sad.

Ooh, I didn't remember Ben's mom's name - wouldn't that be wild if Ben and Locke WERE brothers?!! They've both got creepy eyes.

I agree with others that Claire died when her house exploded and she was just one of the island's apparition's when walking through the jungle with Sawyer and Miles. Christian appeared that night to take her to wherever the dead folks hang out. Since Miles is a "ghost-buster" or whatever, once they reach the beach with Aaron, do you think he'll tell them that Claire is dead?

And just HOW are they going to move the island? Move it through time?

I really think when Claire was told she has to raise Aaron that it was so she would not give him up for adoption. Once she decided not to, and got on that plane, destiny played itself out. I don't think we should assume it meant for her to raise him always. I also think Claire was alive walking through the jungle but died of her injuries while she was asleep and then Christian came. I think Miles new she was dying and that she died and that was why he let her go.

Question: Don't know if this is correct but my son said the name on the ship has changed. He said it was originally named Karma and now it is something like Kahuna. Can anybody confirm?

Just a correction, Tom wasn't killed in the alley, Sawyer shot him at the end of season three.

That's an interesting theory, you may be on to something.

When Richard Alpert had young Locke choose the items they were all quite old. One was a very old compass. It made me think that Locke is perhaps the reincarnation of one of the sailors on the Black Rock. Or, perhaps Alpert traveled through time and brought things to Locke that he would own later in his life. It just struck me as odd that he said "Which of these things belong to you." How would a young child have any idea of what he'd own 50 or so years later?

That's kind of what I thought to, but I was sure the knife would have been one of his belongings.

I just figured (and I am not good at explaining my thoughts) that if time travel was involved then he had already been John Locke on the island where he used those items but now they had jumped BACK in time.
Did I make sense?

This is the guest star list for the next episode, L. Scott Caldwell as Rose, Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert, Jeremy Davies as Daniel Faraday, Ken Leung as Miles Straume, Rebecca Mader as Charlotte Lewis, Jeff Fahey as Frank Lapidus, Kevin Durand as Keamy, Anthony Azizi as Omar, Andrea Gabriel as Noor "Nadia" Abed Jaseem, Byron Chung as Mr. Paik, June Kyoko Lu as Mrs. Paik, Lillian Hurst as Carmen Reyes, Cheech Marin as David Reyes, Veronica Hamel as Margo Shephard, Michelle Forbes as Karen Decker, Susan Duerden as Carole Littleton and Noah Craft as Hendricks.

From the looks of that list it includes a lot of family of the Oceanic Six.

yep, perfect sense. Remember that episode where Desmond's consciousness kept skipping between the present and the past? Maybe something like that happened with Locke. But Desmond needed a constant - could Richard be Locke's constant?

So we've assumed that the helicopter would be the way that the "6" would get off the island, but now it looks like it's with Sayid on that little boat. (or has it been confirmed they get off the island on the helicopter?)

Either way..

If Locke has to somehow move the island and he's successful, could he be the reason that only 6 are rescued? They came back for a second load of passengers and couldn't find the island at the coordinates that the helicopter pilot gave them?

I think that those were Locke's items except that the knife belonged to Ben or Jacob.

Theories?

Okay, this is going back to last week's episode, not last night, but it's been driving me crazy why Ben would have said that he and Whidmore could not kill each other. I understand that it's possible that Whidmore can't kill Ben because Ben is the only one who knows exactly where the island is located, but could not figure out a reason why Ben could not kill Whidmore. Unless - do you think it's possible that Whidmore is actually Ben's "constant" off the island so if Whidmore died, then so would Ben. I'm so confused....

If the mothers have the same names I bet they are brothers. They showed a teenage girl in the 50's for John & a woman in the 60's for Ben's birth. Just the fact they showed both births. BUT who raised LOCK? The grandmother was Mrs Lock.

Lets talk about John's Father. Maybe his father was from the Black Rock. The father must have some connection to the Island IMO

That makes a lot of sense now that you take in the idea of the island coordinates becoming useless! I'm starting to see it now. Sayid is taking one boatload back, then the plan is he'll come back for the rest. Jin demands that Sun be on the boat, Kate takes Aaron as his caretaker and to be sure he's off the island. Sayid is of course, steering. Jack goes because he needs medical attention, and Hurley because? Okay, not sure on that one. But then the island disappears before they could get back for the rest. That makes a lot of sense. Very exciting idea and I can't wait for next week!
