Lost Season 4 *****SPOILER**** Thread!!

Well we know he couldn't perform surgery on himself when he needed the spinal surgery but we don't know much about Ben and the training he has had since the Dharma purge.

We now know that he's been off the island, presumably many times, so who knows what he did during those periods off island.

:rotfl: Yeah, maybe in Ben's free time he went to med school!:lmao:

Has it been confirmed whether or not the bracelet that Naomi was wearing was the same bracelet that the woman Sayid killed was wearing? Sayid had taken the bracelet off of Naomi and looked at it more closely, like he recognized it. How is that possible when he hadn't seen the bracelet on that woman yet or had he:confused3

My impression of the bracelets was they aren't necessarily the exact same bracelet but more that some person has given both woman identical looking bracelets. My guess would be it was the man Sayid was hired to kill. That this mysterious man was both the boss of Naomi and the boss of Elsa (sp?) and has the initials R.G.. Just my guess.

OK, that was so WICKED COOL when Jack mentioned the RED SOX winning the World Series!!! :woohoo:

That would make sense, (as much sense as stuff does in Lost, LOL.)

Thought this was interesting:

Dean Moriarty is one of the protagonists in Jack Kerouac's novel On the Road. Dean grew up in Colorado with a hobo/bum for a father for whom he searches on many occasions. Dean's fanatic personality races from journey to journey and pulls other people along. His various fixations include drugs, women, intellectualism and finally, his father and family life. His marriage and divorce with Camille and Mary Lou and his last affair with Inez are a few examples of his romantic entanglements.

In one of the first episodes of Season 3, when Jack is being held in the Hydra station, he is shown a video of what is going on in the world, including the Sox win. He says something like "C'mon, the Sox winning the World Series? At least show me something realistic." I thought it was funny that it came up again last night. And now they've won two...although not in Lost time.

That's right. I hadn't thought about that. He might have thought Jack was referring to this past series, not the one where they won a few years ago. Interesting:scratchin

With all the talk of CS Lewis. Was that bookshelf that Sayid moved akin to the Wardrobe and door into the real world?

Pictured on the money in Ben's house is a picture of Physicist Michael FARADAY.

So next week's episode revolves around Kate in the future (how she handles life in the real world) and Kate and Sawyer getting it on in the present!

I LOVE this show! :thumbsup2

So are you saying the room with all of the suits/money/passports is in the real world?

Hi, all. I've been lurking for a while and thought I would come out of hiding to pose a question.

I understand the 31 minute time difference the island has with the rest of the world, but I have not been able to reconcile how voice communications (Charlie and Penny or the sattelite phone communications with the freighter) are instantaneous. It's driving me nuts! It could be a flaw in script writing, but the writers have been far too good to make such an apparent boo-boo. Any thoughts or ideas?

Or part of the passage to the real world. It also would explain the "black" metaphorical "box" that Ben used to bring Locke's father to Isla del Losta.

Lost is taking place in 2004 when the show premiered. The Sox haven't won the 2nd one yet in the lost world. Even though "in real life" they have, it's only been about 90 days for the Losties so it's still 2004 or barely 2005 for them including the guys from the freighter.

So are you saying the room with all of the suits/money/passports is in the real world?

I thought it was just a secret closet Ben uses to keep his wardrobe that he uses to travel to other countries. I'm guessing he used the submarine that Locke blew up.

That's what I thought too.

I kinda got the feel that the "entrance" that Ben uses to get between the island and the real world may have something to do with that room. But then again, it still might have just been the submarine, but for me the submarine was more for show and used to publically bring people to the island like Juliet. I would bet Ben had another way to leave the island and that room has something to do with it.

Right. I didn't mean to imply that the pilot was talking about the Sox winning the '07 WS. In fact, he says something like "Don't remind me, I bleed Yankee blue." and it was the '04 series where the Sox beat New York. That made me think that the pilot was also referring to the '04 WS. Then again, with the time difference it just might be "real time" in the real world. Hmmmmm.....
