I thought they said the others lived in Hostels (as in temporary housing) not that they were hostiles. Anyone else catch that? Or was I hearing things?

What do you think about the hatch door Sayid opened? Was it fake? Was that really the camp where Michael was? Did Sayid send up that smoke signal?

Jenn I took it to mean he was calling them "the hostiles". Maybe I'll see if I can find that part again. And they never showed Sayid starting the fire. I thought that was suspicious too. And I don't think they showed the 3 on the boat after the loud noise and bright light scene. I wonder if something happened to them.

Desmond called them the hostiles as in unfriendly, unkind, malicious...it is the term that Kelvin used.

The woman Desmond ran into at the coffee shop, who gave him the boat Elizabeth, was that Libby? Didn't she say she was recently widowed? I wonder who her husband was?

I thought it was a fake door that opened up into the side of the mountain. I actually thought that whole "village" setup was fake, so that they would appear to be somewhat defenseless and poor hippies instead of what they really are.... which is....

I just watched the 'hostiles' conversation with Sayid and Desmond. I think it was his accent and the way he phrased it that made me think Hostels.

I thought it was a fake door that opened up into the side of the mountain. I actually thought that whole "village" setup was fake, so that they would appear to be somewhat defenseless and poor hippies instead of what they really are.... which is....

what? That's the big question!

So you think it was fake when Michael was there? That would make sense since they were in the medical hatch. Plus the fake beards and all. They have to have better living quarters somewhere.

I think some of them have to be Doctors/Scientists. That one guy took blood from Michael last week.

I had the hardest time placing Inmann (Sp) last might. I knew he was familiar, but didn't figure it out until he talked about being in the army.

she said his name was David... maybe it was Hurley's imaginary friend Dave??

No one else has mentioned this, but when Desmond followed the dude out of the hatch, it looked like a desert not a lush tropical island.

That was odd, but I know on Hawaii, there are several dormant volcanoes that look like that....it's definitely possible that many islands have small desert areas like that.

Hi All! I'm a Lost fanatic and thought I'd check in and say Hello. I totally agree with you CheshireVal about Desmond. I find him so sexy, his accent irresistable and now he's probably dead! I'm just going to stop growing attached to these characters, because they'll probably be killed off. I just hope that Locke is alright, I think he is a total hottie!
Am I the only one that feels exhausted after watching last night's episode. There are so many twists, I feel my head is going to explode!

OK - that episode was absolutly rediciously!!

So we now know much more about Desmond, and we know why the plane crashed.

As for the new questions that I now have...
*How did Kelvin get there?
*What happened to Locke, Eko, and Desmond?
*Who is Henry really?
*Who really are the others?
*How did Kelvin know that much about the island?
*What's going to happen to Jack, Kate, and Sawyer?
*Will Hurley make it back and tell everyone never to come back?
*Where is the rest of that statute and why does it only have four toes?
*What was that green bird thing?
*Will Michael come back?
*Where did the others get those electric darts?
*What will Sayid do?
*What was with the violet sky and the humming?
*What is up with Charlie, he seems a bit to happy concerning all that has just happened?
*How can Desmond, an experience sailor, not be able to find his was off the island, but Michael will be able to?
*Why did they say that Walt chose to join them?
*What is that black cloud/security system?
*What is up with the pearl? If it's not real, then is someone watching them?
*Why are there people on one of the poles looking for electromagnet activity and what does it have to do with Penny?
*Why is ABC making the Hanso foundation appear to be real?


And many many many other questoins...

This show is driving me crazy!!

Yes I thought so too. I thought it may have been him in a flashback until he started talking.

Okay, we just finished watching the finale and I am depressed. Not only do I not have a clue what is going on with this Penny person but it didn't have that shocking ending that last season did. I remember standing up on my couch this time last year and yelling "OMG~ Walt is THE BOY!" Freaked us out!
I read an article recently where the producers said this season finale would be more shocking than last season. Very anti-climatic if you ask me. You know they won't kill off Jack, Kate & Sawyer. They're the 3 main people! I think the most shocking part of this episode was when Desmond figured out he's the one who crashed their plane. They should've ended with that. Actually for me, the most shocking part of the season was when Michael betrayed everyone by shooting Anna Lucia (& then poor Libby by default).
I don't even know what to think about this episode but it certainly won't have us talking about it all summer and wondering like last year. Don't get me wrong, I'll still tune in though!
