LOST - Season 2 (No spoilers)

And how about the fear "Henry" showed when he spoke of what "HE" would do to him if he revealed information (when Sayid was going to shoot him). Who is this HE? He said it isn't the bearded man. He said that(the guy with the beard) was was no one. That conversation seems very important.

LOVED last night's episode! We know for sure it's not Hurley's imagination now, since otherwise they've given away the ending planned for years from now. Nah.

I also thought the wasting food thing not realistic, Hurley and Sawyer.

And I was cracking up too at the whole Sawyer scene. His insensitive jokes and everyone smiling while it was going on and the dragging...all very funny.

My DH and I always laugh now when Sawyer gets smacked. We always say "Poor Sawyer's getting it again..." Very much a running theme. The guy's been smacked a lot! In fact when we heard the new item about his real-life robbery I said, "Oh no, now he's getting it in real life!"

Also funny, the wisecrack to Kate about Timmy in the well....

Henry's comments were very intriguing...

And what is Eko building I wonder.

The guy with the beard is "no one." He is an actor. Remeber the episode when they found the fake facial hair and ragged costumes in those lockers. Those people "the others" are all fakes.

And Henry is part of their "Acting Troupe". I wouldn't believe anything that he says or does. He has already proven he is a very good liar/actor.

OK, you guys have pretty much covered everything as usual :thumbsup2

I'm looking foward to next week's episode when they're going to try to get Walt traded. Should be interesting.

I was thinking because he is suddenly very religous and calls himself a priest, maybe he is building a church. :confused3

I don't think they are actors per say. They are more like low level grunts who are working for "him." They hide behind the fake beards and clothes to maintain the illusion of the island for the losties. Ethan and Goodwin blended in w/out the costumes.

ETA (from the Fuslage but this guy said what I ment)-- The Others appear dirty and unkempt when dealing with the Losties. This implies a feral, savage lifestyle. However when you realise that the dirty ratty clothes and beard were a disguise then you know that what they were hiding from the Losties was not their identities, but their civilised, clean nature.

I also think Eko is building a church.

How did it end last night? My VCR cut it short (again! :furious: I'm going to have to set it to tape an extra half hour or so!) Last thing I saw was Dave go over the cliff, then Libby walk up and start talking to Hurley. What did she say to him? Sounds like they showed her in the institution after that -- what was she doing there?

Thanks so much!

Hurley told Libby that she didn't exist, that he had made her up in his mind. He said that was why she looked familiar, because he had made her up. Libby asked him about the man with a broken leg that she had buried when they first crashed. She asked Hurley if he knew the man's name. Hurley said he didn't. Libby said that that meant he wasn't making it up because he didn't know all of the details of what she had been through. This calmed Hurley down. Libby kissed him and then they walked back to camp holding hands. As they walked past the camera Libby seemed to have an odd look on her face. The next scene showed Hurley in the mental institution putting his arm around the empty chair next to him (with, in his mind, Dave sitting in it) so his doctor could take the picture. The camera panned over to a nearby table to another paitent with disheveled brown hair. It was Libby.

Hope that helps.

I keep going back and forth as to whether this could be all in Hurley's head. Like when "Dave" told him why would a girl like Libby like him, which made sense. I don't mean to be shallow, but why would a girl like her like him; but then they showed her in the mental ward and she seemed to be looking at Hurley. I wonder if she fell in love with Hurley in the institution. Maybe Hurley was the only man who was nice to her and that's why she developed feelings for him. She may have also become obsessed with him. Maybe she actually followed Hurley around and that's why she ended up being on the same flight. She also said she looked familiar, because he had stepped on her foot and seemed hurt that he didn't remember. Maybe we're going to have a fatal attraction on our hands ;)

Lost has been running an extra few minutes long most of the season. My comcast guide usually says 8-9:03 or 8-9:05.

The comment about God and no one else being able to see the island is telling us that it is not "visible" from above. Remember God is "up there" looking down, so a satelite, plane, whatever would not see it if they were up above it. There must be some force "cloaking" the island and that may why no one saw or heard what dropped off the supplies. The plane dropping the supplies probably just dropped them according to the coordinates.

I just read this on another board. I totally missed all of this, did anyone else notice it? Do you think it's a mistake or did LOST do this on purpose?

This is a screenshot from when the doctor took the picture of Hurley and Dave:
hurleyanddave.jpg

And this is the poloroid of that scene:
hurleypic.jpg

The things the other board pointed out as being different are:
Hurley's not leaning over as far.
His smile is different.
It's dark outside in the poloroid.
There's no one behind them.
The celery's different.
The checkers are right underneath the plate in the first picture, but further away in the second picture

If you'd like to check out the original thread it's here.

And did anybody notice in the previews for next week the numbers on the counter read 215, NOT 108? What's with that? Or could it be a counter in one of the other hatches?

Great episode! That Henry dude is something else!

Very interesting. It doesn't make sense though. You would think if they were hinting towards it being a conspiracy, Libby would have seen Dave when they panned around but her view didn't "see" him either. You wouldn't think Lost would make such a big mistake but I'm not sure I get it if it was intentional. Maybe it is just one more of those things that make us go "hmmmm". ;)

I thought it said 2:15 like 2 minutes 15 seconds. I have a feeling they are going to let the timer run out.

Yea, I know it usually runs long, and I've got the VCR set for it, but it still cuts it off often.

Anyway, could someone please fill me in on how it ended?

It's interesting how the two pictures are different, but we may be reading too much into it. They obviously would have had to take the picture twice, once with Dave in it and once without him. It would be hard for Jorge to replicate the same exact smile, also the placing of the celery and checkers may just have been laziness on the part of whoever was in charge of placing them. The only significant thing is the day and night. You would think that would be an obvious thing they would not overlook, but then again, maybe they did :confused3

Someone posted this for you before. :)

Hmm, something else I notice... not only is Dave gone, but SO IS EVERYONE ELSE.

Look in the first photo. There's another guy sitting at the back table. And there are the arms and part of the face of a 3rd person leaning over the back table.

Second photo -- none of them are there.
