Also, with the swan head/snake head/lock-ness monster head that shows in the middle of the symbol, almost makes it appear Yin-Yang like. Could that be the balance of good and evil the island tries to sustain?
I have become intrigued by the symbol. I have been digging around for a few days. I have no understanding of the "Book of Changes." I just keep finding very interesting information and thought I would share it.
There is a swan-like symbol which is interchangeable with yin and yang.
If the "label" is I Ching, there are some very interesting descriptions:
Kan: Pit, Danger, Flow of Water
Li: Separation
Kun: Earth, Feminine, Fertility
Sun: Penetration, Influence, Growth
Chien: Heaven Creature, Change for the Better
Chen: Thunder, Development of situations
Tui: Mountains, Obstacles, Blockage
There is an even number of broken and unbroken lines. When you add the numbers from the I Ching chart (sorry I don't know what it's called) the sum is 164. I was really hoping it would be 108.
Again, this is something that has intrigued me. I freely admit that I have no understanding, just thought I would add more mystery to the pot in which we stir.
I might be hallucinating, but I am having fun.
