OMG! What an episode!!!! Finally some answers! Now we know why Desmond was down there...but like Jack said, is the countdown real or is it made up?? I was yelling PUSH THE BUTTON at the end.

And in the preview for next week, I swear I saw Jin say in perfect English, "everything is going to change."

Also that Ana Lucia girl...she was on the plane for sure, but why did she turn again them in the pit?? Maybe she joined "the others" or is part of some larger conspiracy.

He has been playing us all along! Somehow I figured he would come around sooner or later.

Wonder what is up with the girl and why she is against our guys.

What do you think the computer really does? I would have to play with it to look at the programs to see exactly what it does even though the movie said to only use it to enter the code.

I hate not knowing this stuff! But I do love trying to figure it out. They have me soooooo hooked.

Maybe Jin is part of the conpsiracy....maybe there's not even a conspiracy and I'm just crazy! LOL!

As much as I'd love to see them not push the button, I KNEW they'd just cut to black and flash "L O S T" so we'd still have to wait another week. Plus if it did blow up or something, then the show would be over.

I think she is just suspicious, they probably think that they are the "others". I wondered if maybe the people were from the plane because of the way the one was dressed, her clothes seemed modern. I think we were supposed to be thrown off because of the way the black guy was dressed.

I think we got more answers from that one than we did from the entire 1st season put together.

I think the button is fake-- I don't think it does anything, really, and that it's some kind of psychological "warfare." I was hoping they didn't push the button at the end because I hate the idea of someone having to push it every 108 minutes or whatever the interval is. That bothers me!

I think that Ana Lucia and the "others" are all survivors from the back of the plane. They probably thought that Sawyer, Jin, and Michael were bad guys. I bet the "Shaft" guy (Sawyer's words, note mine ) is Rose's husband.

Couple of questions I want to ponder:

1-- Where is Desmond running to?

2-- What is the deal with Locke and Katey Segal? How did he become paralyzed?

3-- What the heck happened to Jack's wife?

Oh yeah, I didn't understand the "leap of faith" thing. Wouldn't NOT pressing the button be the leap of faith?? Typing in the code is a leap of anything - Locke already knows it would rewind the countdown clock.

Next week should be interesting with the food dynamic. I mean they've been on the island for 44 days without any food and suddenly they find a stocked pantry...I think Jack said in the preview "no one is taking any food" or something like that.

Thats a good thought...I was wondering if anyone else noticed about 10 minutes into the show there was a vent thing behind jack, john and desmond and it was in the shape of the sign, the reel of film had the sign, i was looking to see if any of the members of the chool in the film were at the island but i didnt see any, but i was gonna be real exiced if i saw one!

True, that might be right. And this was the late 70's, 80's....people were a little nutty-loopy-crazy back then, right?? JK, I was born in '85...

I think they just started dating, but this was BEFORE he got paralyzed. My guess is that we will see how he gets paralyzed in a future episode.

3-- What the heck happened to Jack's wife?

You know, good question! I assumed they just divorced...but was it every really resolved? I'll have to rewatch the episode from Season 1.

Question -- I *SWEAR* I remember reading something on this board or maybe another about the race around the world thing!! Did anyone else remember reading something about that? I think someone might have mistakenly revealed a spoiler, but it wasn't on this board I don't think.

Ok, I rewatched the part of the season premiere where Jack talks to Desmond in the stadium. Desmond refers to him as "brother" alot, but maybe that's just a phrase he likes to use. He said he was almost a doctor once and that he was training for a race around the world. Then at the end he says..."see you in another life" just like he said when he is running away from Jack on the island!

Something is up with this phrase "see you in another life" because I read that someone else said that last season, but I can't remember who it was.
