Was Desmond turning back time, when he had Locke enter the numbers into the computer?

I don't think he was turning back time, but just resetting a counter of some sort.

I wonder what would happen if the counter ran down. He was really worried about Locke getting those numbers typed in.

I thought this episode was more frustrating than anything. The backstory with Michael and Walt didn't really add anything at all that we didn't already know.

The happenings in the hatch just moved way too slowly.

Next week looks better though.

Maybe Desmond was on the raft with Danielle? Can someone who is watching season 1 listen for his name?

No, I don't think so, Danielle has been there for 16 or more years. Jack met Desmond later than that, I think someone has theorized 7 years.

Well something (some kind of testing?) must have been going on there. The French lady's people got sick 16 years earlier, perhaps whatever the probelm is that caused Desmond to lock himself in the bunker (and them to get sick) has dissipated??? And could also have something to do with why the others want/need children. And the others seemed to have been their prior to the French lady's group.

My theory on this is that they have all gotten there at differant times. I think planes and boats get to close to the island and the "security system" causes them to crash there.

Our station kept beeping with severe thunderstorm alerts plus our sattelite kept cutting in and out so I'm very confused.

Was Jin ever seen on last night's show? Like Laura, I hope that they repeat the episode.

Yes, Jin was on at the very end. Michael and Sawyer make it back to the Island and right after they get there he comes running out of the jungle tied up yelling "others".

Was anyone else annoyed with the way Michael was acting toward Sawyer? I mean, Michael would be DEAD if it weren't for Sawyer saving him!! He was acting like a child!

I know! Who cares who fault it is, just try to fix it. Yeesh!

I can't wait to see the other side of the island next week and see if it ties in with the "They're not NOT not not the survivors they thought they were" from the trailer online.

Who thought Desmond's "How many are dead? How many are sick?" was freaky! What is this sickness? I've got to know, lol.

Some people are saying that if you have high def. you can see that the logo says "DHARMA" and has a swan in the middle.

It does say DHARMA, and it is a swan! Yikes!

Edit- Wait, the shark doesn't have the swan..Uh oh. Are we looking at two different programs/logos whatever?

OMG! I forgot all about this! Man, and the DHARMA thing, and the swan....this is getting wild!

I thought it was odd to find out that Kate was locked in a pantry. Who locks their pantry?!? Then I began to wonder if the pantry was locked because all of the food in there caused "the sickness". *Note: When we saw Desmond eating, he was making a smoothie with fresh fruit - nothing canned. If this is true, Kate will be the first person sick (she ate the candy bar) and she *may* be bringing the sickness out to the other survivors via the candy bars she stole. Just a thought.

Were Sam Toomey and Leonard stationed in a similar hatch to Desmond? Are the numbers a command to stop some sort of doomsday device, like an atomic bomb, or a high frequency device?

I think the computer has a self destruct program, so if Desmond (or whoever is "on duty" doesn't reset it within a certain amount of time (108 minutes I'm guessing) it assumes that something has happened to them and destroys all evidence of whatever it is that's going on there. That's my theory anyway...

ETA- About the fruit... Am I the only one who think it looked canned? It looked shriveled and coated in syrup to me...

I love this show but last night's episode was the only one I haven't liked so far. Besides finding out there is food in the hatch, we didn't find anything else out. Didn't enjoy the raft scenes except a few smart comments from Sawyer.

I thought they teased us last week showing Jack saying "you" to Desmond because that's ALL they showed between them.

Also no Sayid or Hurley.

Hope next week is better
