Lost Passport

All luggage pockets, kids luggage, in the car, in underware drawer, sock drawer, night stand, safe, some weird little pocket thing you took on last trip, thinking "if I put my passport in here I will forget it" but put it there anyway, under couch, on book shelves?
:confused3

Has anyone suggested looking in lap top bags or back packs? We often carry laptops with us and maybe it was put in one of the many pockets or sleeves of a laptop case?

Any armoires with shelves or book cases any photo albums or boxes from previous trip, a left over mini backpack used to get thru an airport or cruise last time. Did u use it for employment verification? So a drawer at work?

Praying you find it! Did you enter the number in when you did your on-line registration? Where were you sitting when you did this? Check chair and rip desk apart. Under the desk? Dog bed or crate (my poodles are hoarders)! Keep us posted
please.

We didn't find them :'( We are going to call disney when they open to see if they would let us board in LA and get the passport at the passport agency in San Francisco when we dock there on Wednesday. Or if we cannot do that, then we are going to see if we can just board in SF and only miss 2 days of the cruise.

Yours are maybe in your warerobe hangen in a small bag, and your moms where she hold her money, when she is cruising

Oh my, like a previous poster said.....this is freaking me out too!

First, I know someone who got his passport in SF at the federal passport place, and it took a few hours. Yes, he had an appt, first thing in the morning. But this was his first passport; I would think yours would be even faster as it would just be a reprint.
Is there a place like this in LA? If so, I would get there first thing Monday morning, if you haven't made an appt, see if you can make one online or on the phone. Even if you can only get an afternoon appt, show up early in the morning and beg!
You would have until 4pm to embark. You could be in communication with the ship. On our first Disney cruise, which was in LA, we left 45 minutes late and I heard it was because we were waiting for some people who were delayed at the airport.
If SF is the only place, I would consider driving or flying there tomorrow, Sunday, and schedule a flight to LA around 1 or 2pm on Monday. Upon landing, jump in a taxi and get going! ( if you finish earlier w/ passport switch to an earlier flight......get a flexible ticket.

My other suggestion is, ask a few friends to come over and look through your house; sometimes others will see what you might be missing. Look as if you r looking for a lost winning lottery ticket........check everywhere! Are you sure they r in your house? If so, I would empty every drawer, cupboard, file and slowest into boxes, rubbermaids, or even trash bags, and just go through every scrap of paperwork in your home.

Good luck!!!
Shanna

Make an appointment now with whichever place you plan to use.

What time can you get off in San Fran. If you can't do this early morning go with plan B. then you could do this the day prior.
Take everything it says you need. Do not assume that since it is replacement they won't treat it like a new request

Is it possible they are both together? Did u travel last together? And maybe one ended up with a bag and then with it for the drive home?

I'd be looking thru every duffle bag I own and my mother owns, every drawer in her house. I learned myself after I had already ordered my replacement that it HAD to be somewhere, and again, it was in the shorts pocket I wore debarking our last cruise!

Is it possible its at Moms house? I'd be over there like white on rice...but I'm a worrier and every couple days, I checked our cabinet for them and then finally left them right next to the keyboard so I would see them everyday... A week prior, I pack them into my embarkation back pack, then night before, I load up in the car, before we drive away, I check it again and for good measure, I make my husband check that they are in the bag with a separate set of eyes! I am pyscho bout them. Nothing else you could pack is as important as them...

We got so worked up over the OPs missing Passports, we went to bank this morning to double check that our passports were in our safe deposit box. Luckily they were, so we should be good to go for our Fantasy cruise coming up in June. Hope the OP can either find or get new passports for their cruise next week.

I couldn't find my son's BC two nights before our first cruise. There was absolutely no reason it shouldn't have been with the others. I turned my house upside down looking for it. On the third pass through the important documents cabinet at 1am, I found it in my 401K documents folder (???). So, I reiterate what the others have said: look at every single piece of paper in your house. They may be wedged between papers in a folder, in some place there is no reason to be looking in. Needless to say, I got the kids passports and have kept them in a secure location since. They are the first thing I pack and the first thing I unpack (and return to the safe place) :)

This thread had me nervous about our passports. So, I went and checked the fireproof box and all 4 are there.

She's been posting on our FB page since yesterday, and it's not looking good. Evey time she posts I feel a panic coming over me.

I don't know if anyone else mentioned this, but in the car they used the last time they had the passports..........did they check the glove box, under the seats..........the trunk????

If it were me I would just not even plan on getting on the ship until San Fran. Rent a car and head there tomorrow and be at the office Monday morning. I really hope she made an appointment. Otherwise this gets worse.

(And yes, I also went to check on my passport :) )

My ultimate nightmare scenario...

I just double checked on mine as well!

Went and checked ours and time to apply for our new passports. If we do PC next May we need it and our expire April 2014. Time to get busy and plan.

One trick I use to help me with my passport. Except when being handed to an official or in my money belt it stays in a HOT PINK passport case. I figure it's hard to loose and easier to find something hot pink in a sea of paper (as sometimes occurs when I am getting ready for a trip. I just printed off a LOT of paper for my upcoming trip (Hotel confirmations, rental car confirmations, cruise docs, train tickets etc....)
