Anyone watching Lost on Wednesday nights (I think on CBS but could be wrong)? It is sort of a classed up Gilligan's island but there is alot more potential for twists and turns since the stranded passengers were on a plane and it went down. The cargo and items from the plane would seem to provided lots of "survival" potential.

Anyway, I sort of like it but here is my question for anyone who has ever ridden on an airplane. WHERE do you find a flight with that many beautiful people all riding at the same time? I mean other than the one token overweight guy, the rest of them are all gorgeous!! Seems to me that the proportion of good looking people who just happened to be on that flight is WAAAAAAAAAAy beoyond what one would expect to happen at random in a given population. I KNOW it is tv but jeeze it drives me crazy. I know if I was stranded on a deserted island, there is no way that the proportion of hunky guys would be that high. My luck I would get stuck with a bunch of Michael Moore, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry look alikes. You know the quadruple bagger type.

LOL, I'm hooked on the show but you are so right! There were a lot of good looking people on that flight. There are a few others besides Hurley that aren't "beautiful people" but they are definitely the minority.

i don't consider them that spectacular. I mean they're good looking but not so good looking that you wouldn't see them around. I always just thought they survived because they were the strongest (or the luckiest). If anything my question is why didn't any of the survivors lose someone on the accident (with the exception of the one woman who insist her husband isn't dead - and I bet he'll turn up). :wave2:

I watch lost because one of my favorite actors , dominic monaghan, is in it. But I think it's a pretty good show, there are a lot of mysterious elements that makes you think.

It's on abc at 8:00 et....wednesday nights....

actually dominic monaghan is on Jimmy Kimmel show right now..kind of ironic ..

dominic plays charlie by the way. I think Jack (matthew fox) is becoming to hero-like, but judging from next week's previews, i think that is going to back fire big time...

is anyone else following each episode?

lol the people are pretty good looking...but i mean it is t.v.

We are completely hooked on the show and love it. After Survivor, it is our favorite:)

I love how they profile one crash survivor each episode. This last week was really, really good. I mean Mr. Lock being kinda of a survival freak in his personal life and having the "1-900" call in girlfriend for $90 an hour or whatever and his boss always chiding and ridiculing him. And the knives...all those knives. The twister at the end when we found out he was in a wheelchair and miraculously recovered after the crash and conquered a huge feat..."Just don't tell me what I can't do"...wow...that is good TV.

Also love Kate the fugutive, the Doc, the drug addicted semi-famous musician, the stuck up rich bi*ch blond and her down to earth boyfriend, the oriental couple (who have a lot of mystery surrounding them), the black man with his son and dog, and finally the PG Austrailian girl and sweet, lovable Hurley. And now we know Rose, too.

I think they could focus an episode around each of the above mentioned character(s), throw in some survival scenes and of course the unknown "monsters" on the island and have a terrific show all season!

In fact, I bet that's what they do:)
Seriously, we really love this show, it is awesome

If you are talking about Shannon and Boone, he is her brother, not her BF.

Love this show, but had to miss last weeks due to a school function. Wish it was on a little bit later. I was hoping for a re=run this weekend, but it looks like not.

For those who saw last weeks, what did I miss??
Thanks

Maybe the reason they survived is that they are the most fit but let's face it, there are no fat and 40 or 50 people except for the survival guy. Even the pregnant woman is one of those with JUST a stomach. Of course you know she will deliver and then 10 min later be romping in the surf in a thong!! Just like real life. I am only kidding I know this is an escapist type show and I do like it. Sometimes I just need to suspend disbelief when I try to aligne it with real life. I do like the plane crash idea because they can keep finding lots of itmes which can help them survive. I am still trying to figure out what the mystery is on the island. You know the polar bear thing.

I predict that the pregnant woman will deliver then, they will have to try and stop the wild boars from getting the baby.

LOVE this show!!!! Lauri and I are completely hooked and it's interesting to see what the next twist will be.

Locke is now definitely one of my favorites on the show. Before it almost seemed like he knew some secret about the island. Now, after all the talk in his flashbacks about destiny and what he was born for, it's like he's relishing and embracing the adventure of the unknown.

Of course, each episode gives more questions than answers.

Locke was in a wheelchair but now he can walk after the crash -- how????
Who was the person in the suit Jack saw at the edge of the forest?
Rose not only thinks her husband (who was in the lavatory at the back of the plane) is alive but is positive he survived.
Something that I've wondered about -- in a previous episode, the pregnant woman said something about not feeling the baby move for a day, and then she felt the baby kick. Last week, we find out Locke was paralyzed and now he can walk. Coincidence? Or is there something REALLY weird about the island?

Wow. Those were the exact same questions I was thinking of. Very intense and highly addictable show. My DH and I were in disbelief that the show was over, thinking that it was one fast hour. We can hardly wait until the next episode.

There's another, 13-page thread with some serious debates on the topics. The last posts were last Friday though, so the thread may be buried.

I also love the show. It's the only thing I consistently watch on TV. I agree that everyone is supiciously good-looking. And did anyone notice how the pregnant girl is skinny everywhere except her belly. Shouldn't her ****s be bigger at least?

Love this show, and everybody on it, good looking or bad.::yes::
