Lost my guide

Just lost my guide. Mark Halvorsen left DVC. I don't know if I have been assigned a new guide or not, but a guy named Derek called and left a message wanting to talk about my DVC membership. Playing phone-tag right now. He might be a guide named Derek Deboer. What can anyone tell me about him? Give me details. I found out about Mark when I tried to call him and Meagan Moriarity picked up instead! Nice lady. Tell me about her, too! Any advice would be a great help. Thanks.

Sorry have no info on him, but am curious as to how many of us have lost our guides due to the cutbacks and current state of DVC sells? I'm sure you won't/aren't the only one...

I don't know if this will help you, but there is a thread on the DVC Operations board that lists Guides that DISers are assigned to. You should be able to find many DISers who are assigned to either Derek or Meghan who would probably be happy to answer your question if you PM them. Either way, I hope you find a Guide who meets your needs, and it certainly says a lot to me about Derek that he's already reached out to you. Anyway, good luck!

Friends of ours have Derek Deboer as their guide. They stop and say hi to him everytime they are at Woodfield Mall (Doorway to Dreams). They can not say enough good things about him.

If you have Derek DeBoer, you are in GREAT hands. We are going to see him today at the Doorway to Dreams store in Woodfield Mall to sign our papers for our new 50 point add on. He is TERRIFFIC. Easy to reach, not pushy, very helpful. Can not say enough nice things about him. Has made our DVC experience even better than we imagined.

And.....I must say this has to be one of the HAPPIEST guys I have ever worked with, he was great throughout our purchase, you will be very happy with him, he is very quick to answer emails and phone calls.

Spoke to Derek. Super nice guy! Read the flattering response to him. He is grateful. If DVC decides Derek will be my guide, I certainly won't complain. Because I accidently made contact with Megan Moriarity, she may end up being my guide. What can you tell me about her?

Hey Vandy,

Derek called us. When I returned the call and he wasn't there, I decided to call Mark to see if he knew why Derek was calling. That is when I talked to Megan and found out Mark was gone. I was pretty surprised to call his number and get a female voice! Also, no new add-on in the near future. Maybe later.

We 'lost' our guide too - but in the process, we gained our old guide back. Tony Diehl. Already received a phone call from him, as well as 3 mailings. He is making it very difficult to avoid catching the addonitis. But I am saving my money...

For what it's worth, your Guide selection is your choice. You can call Member Services and they will tell you who your Guide currently is (whether Derek or Megan) and, if you want to change, just tell them and they will make the change. It's very easy and happens all the time.
