LOST looking for the "crowd calendar"?!?!

It seems as though some people are aware of the crowd levels on a scale of 1-10 for when they are going?? Where can I find this? I would love to know since I have never been to WDW, and I am going Oct 11-16. Which I am kind of scared because the 11th is Columbus day. I didn't know this was busy until now! But how busy...

That time is a great time to go... you should have relatively low crowds. Just remember, that even on days when it's a 10, a good plan will help you manage the crowds.

I joined just for those calendars and the Lines mobile site/app. I'm not a guy who generally follows touring plans, but it's a fantastic site.

If you're really worried about the crowds, arrive very early or stay very late for an EMH. And (as mentioned) have a plan.

I know, waking early might not seem like a vacation, but October can still be very humid and with the crowds that can make for a long afternoon. If you get most of activities done early, you can relax in the afternoon.

I think your timing is excellent (mid Oct) and I don't think that Columbus day will bring lots of people within an easy drive of WDW.

thanks for the replies! I joined the site, but it looks like I have to pay to get the actual numbers for that month, so i'll just wait. I can't do anything about it anyway! I'm tryint to plan (as good as a first timer can I guess!!) so hopefully columbus day won't be too bad, and the crowds i'm hoping will thin out through the week??? Thanks again!

You're going at a great time for low crowds and super weather (unless you prefer scorching hot temps). Don't pay for TP. You can google it and get last years crowd calc which will be just about the same and you'll of course see it a month prior to your trip.

A lot of people still work on Columbus Day... so even though the schools are off, I don't think it's as big a travel weekend as some of the others -- Memorial Day, July 4, etc.
