LOST - Last Season (NO SPOILERS)

I'm SO excited for this season!! I've heard that Juliet, Boone and Shannon will all be back somehow for the final season, which I'm also excited about - I was pretty bummed when Boone and Shannon got killed off.

Ok that being said (and missing the "Seattle pi" update posted upthread) I did some needless research, so here goes (trying to figure out who orginated the footage is problematic at best). As the seattlepi blog says, the video is an environmental-advocacy ad, so it is not any kind of official "LOST" promo, but rather someone who lifted content from another source and reworked it for whatever reason.

This is PlaneStupid's original video, posted on November 20th. It has pretty much the same text as tllowe's version with the only difference being "www.planetstupid.com" at the end.

tllowe posted another version of this footage on YouTube. On November 25, 2009 he posted a version of the environmental-campaign video (with added music) "Plane Stupid Polar Bear Ad / Mad Men Mashup". He cuts off the "www.planetstupid.com" at the end but otherwise all the other text is intact.

ezrajshark then posted his own altered video on December 11, 2009 with a new title, "LOST Season 6 ABC Promo" and new screen-text in this version:

He simply took the environmental ad and edited the "LOST" footage - complete with that eye - onto the end of it.

ezrajshark then apparently AGAIN lifted the content and posted his final version with altered text and title ""Polar Bears (Mad Men Parody) - complete with a Polar Bear version of the Mad Men logo - on December 14, 2009

IMDB says that the actor who plays Liam (Charlie's brother) will be back for an episode. Not sure what that means exactly.

Does anyone know the name of the song they play a lot on this show? I believe they played it right at the end of Season 5 season finale as juliette let the bomb go off. It's a song that's usually played at "touching" moments, etc.

Flash Forward is a little too slow moving for us. It is interesting though. I love Fringe and it nudged out Lost as my favorite show on TV after Losts last season. Here's hoping season 6 is awesome!

I'm hoping they can somehow bring Locke back to life. I know its a long shot but it would be amazing. Also, I'm wondering if all the dead will come back to life once they've destroyed the future island and the show reverts back to the initial plane crash. So Charlie and Locke can maybe come back

I hope we see this in some way too. But I want to see this in a way so that they are able to tie it back to the 2007 storyline we saw in Season 5. Like they do the alternate storyline but somehow tie it together with what is already happening in the 2007 storyline with Sun and un-Locke.

Add me to the list of folks who can't wait for Lost to start up again! On the Season 5 thread last year, we had some lively discussions about whether or not the Losties could alter the past. Can't wait to see which of us were right!

Count us in!! DH and I have been watching it from the start, and then this past year we got DS21 to watch it. He's all caught up (we rented the first 4 seasons from the library), except for Season 5, which just came out on DVD last week. I have my name on a waiting list at the library for Season 5, but I'm #31 in the queue, so I doubt that I'll have my turn before Season 6 starts. If that happens, we'll probably end up buying Season 5 so that DS21 can see everything before the new season starts.

I thought Season 5 was great, and can't wait to see how it all ends, although I'll miss some of the characters!

Angelhalo: I kind of know what you mean about losing some interest; there was one season where I didn't think I'd continue watching, but DH convinced me to hang in there, and I'm glad that I did because it ended up getting better by the end of that season. I think it was the season that focused a lot on the "Others", when they had Jack, Kate, and Sawyer held captive.

You can always do the Netflix free trial. Or if you've already done the free trial, it's 8.99 for a month. They have all the episodes there to watch(don't have to wait to get the DVDs) I just finished watching the last season; watched 1-4 all over last summer. It is amazing what you see when you go back and watch the previous seasons knowing what happens in the later seasons.

I just saw (from a Lost blogger I follow on twiter) that the State of the Union might be on February 2 Does that mean Lost is going to get pushed back?
