lost it alll...

my beloved dog pulled our laptop of the table yesterday, and we are awaiting news of weather it can be saved or not, I have lost everything, booking numbers, hotel numbers and more importantly my planning grid of what days/adrs/parks
can nayone help me and tell me where i can get a copy of augusts emhs for next year? i know they are not out yet, but i based my planning on last years so if anyone has a saved copy id be very grateful, i have looked but cant find last years anywhere....
hours, days of planning possibly lost... and no, i didnt back it up, the laptop WAS my backup it had all my work stuff on there so i m potentially in a right mess as we are due OFSTED in the month of January...
not a happy bunny...

Sorry about the laptop.

I had the same experience a couple of years ago. Even though the computer was a write off I did manage to salvage the hard drive. Hooked it up to my desktop as a slave HD and managed to retrieve most of my important info including family photos. May be an option for you if the laptop is DOA-dont give up hope.

Take it to a PC repair shop. The hard drive may be OK as the laptop may not be functioning for another reason.

A friend of mine owns a PC shop and it amazes me how he can rescue the most hopeless of causes.

thanks for that, i hang out on the Dibb (i lurk rather than post) but had never seen that so thanks, its alot eaier to understand than the other one i had!!

the nice man in the computer shop has just called me (9 on xmas eve) to say the charging jack is the problem, hopefully it hasnt fried the mother board (it smelt and smoked so hopefully it ll be ok...)
however i can do the plans again now i have the EMH info...
watch me do it avoiding the EMH, book my adrs and they ll change everything, lol!!

Oh no, I had exactly the same thing happen to me a couple of months ago when our laptop died and was unrecoverable . . . so frustrating! I still haven't been able to get a copy of my Travel Lodge booking for the night before our Disney Paris trip in March, as they refuse to email me another copy! Not sure whats going to happen there!! Disney were very helpful though with my booking with them! I now email copies of everything to my work email address and keep them all in a separate folder! Lesson learned!

i sure hope the computer guy is able to save the information from your hard disk!!!

the hard drive on our main computer completely died a few months back....we lost our entire itunes music library
nothing could be salvaged from the hard disk....i hope you have better luck..
