Lost in China

Last Sunday night (June 28th) we dined in Nine Dragons Restaurant.
My DS (8) left his lanyard, filled with pins on the back of his chair. Needless to say we did not realize this until we left EPCOT after illuminations. As soon as we returned to AKL we had the desk call the restaurant. His room card was in the ID pouch on the lanyard. So.. whoever recovered this knew it was a childs and who it belonged too. It really makes me sad to think that people are so dishonest and would not turn this in. All week he kept asking "Did they find it". Of course we bought him a new one, but his favorite pins were on the lost one. Just thought I'd share our story.

So sorry for the lost lanyard and pins, but have hope!

On 06/18 we lost my nephew's Mickey head zip-line (clip-on, not attached to lanyard) and card pouch in line for BTMRR in MK (thankfully, just after retrieving the FastPass!). It contained his KTTW card, Disney Gift Card, and Monorail Co-Pilot License! The CM's looked back through the line, but didn't find it. We reported it lost at City Hall, and they reissued his KTTW card. We called back to Lost & Found several time before we left, but they had not seen it.

Guess what we got in the mail on 07/03?? The zip-line and all original contents!!! We were so impressed that they didn't forget about the little guy's items after we were gone. Gave us a little extra feeling of pixie dust!!

I truly hope you have as much good luck as we did, that they are able to return your DS's lanyard and pins.

Make sure you contact lost and found. My daughter lost her purse at DHS and we checked all day with Lost and Found at the park - no luck. The next day I called the Central Lost and Found (up at the TTC) and sure enough they had it. When I went to pick it up it was already boxed and labeled to be mailed to our home. Like the previous poster said, it may already be on its way home.

It would be helpful if you can remember specifically what kind of pins were on it in case it was turned in without his ID. We left a bag at Epcot and reported it to Lost and Found, but we never heard back. Several weeks later, on a whim, I called back and gave them a thorough description of what was in the bag. Winds up that they had it all along, but the CM who typed in the contents gave a different description of the contents. You never know!

Thanks for the responses. It would be very nice if it was returned. Does anyone know the # of Lost and Found that I can call tomorrow. I appreciate your help.

I really hope he gets it back. With his name and such on it, I hope someone will do the right thing and turn them in for you.
I need to write my kids info on their lanyards.
DD and DS can't see why I won't let them take any pins that they are not willing to trade to the parks. My kids are not the most responsible at some times and Mommy is tired of playing the role of pack mule. If they lose them, that is their loss. But I really hope that they won't.
Please keep us posted on whether you get them back.

My daughter also lost her purse with pins on the strap, and Disney dollars in it, and we were headed for the Magical Express so could not go back to look.
She was TOTALLY DEVESTATEDbut we could not risk missing our flight.


Luckily, she had her autograph book in it and had scrawled her name in it when she was 5....

I don't know how but it came in the mail about a month after we returned!...

...and THAT is why we go to DISNEY!...True magic!...Good Luck!
