Figure that with television series there are only a few possibilities: (1) It goes on too long; (2) It gets cut off too soon; or (3) They plan out for when it will end. We have got to feel utterly fortunate that with Lost, we got #3.Who else is looking forward this and sad because it will be the last season?
I rather hope not. They said this was going to be an ending... let it be, let it be.Do you think there will be something else to extend it like a movie?
They haven't actually announced the return date yet (or even which day of the week Lost will be broadcast on*). However, given that there are 18 hours to present, it will start in January. Even if we plan on a two-hour season premiere (already common-knowledge) and a two-hour series finale (how could they not?), they'd have to start by the last week in January to finish up within May sweeps. I think also we can expect one recap week mid-season (again, how could they not?). So let's figure that the season premiere will be on or about the week of January 17, if not sooner. When does it start? in January?

This is also one of those shows I could buy the whole series and watch again and again. I'm glad it's ending on a high note before it jumps the shark though.
