I was looking up the actor who plays Walt. Looks like he was written off the show. And here I was, waiting for his return! :( Also, does it seem the "new" cast is just temporary? What with the - after the date?

BTW, I got this off of IMDB.

My dh says that he heard an interview on the radio with the kid who plays Walt and he said that he WOULD be back. :confused3

The new people being like that just means that that is when they joined the cast and that they're still there. Does not indicate that they're temporary at all, actually it indicates that they are not currently written off the show.

As for Walt, he has been doing guest appearances during the current season. So he was a real cast member for the 2004-2005 season, guested during the rest of 2005, and his will likely look like this (2004-2005, 2006-) if he returns as a full member of the cast. Otherwise, he will continue doing guest appearances if he is not a regular.

The "-" just means that they haven't left the show yet. So they started in 2005, but haven't ended yet. I haven't heard anything about Walt.

If that's the case, then why doesn't the original cast have a 2004- after their name?

Because it's to be assummed that they are on through the entire duration of the show. That's why the people that left have dates and the people that came in late have start dates. Everyone else is there the whole time.

Considering that each season is only 40 days or so and they plan on at least five seasons, Walt will certainly age more in real life than the show actually has Walt age.

I heard he was homesick and wouldn't be on much....but maybe not at all. I saw an ad for some upcoming show that he was going to guest star in.

I saw an add for a Law & Order last night and Walt was in it.

That why I was looking him up. The kid in SVU sure looked like him, but I wanted to be sure...IMDB did not list L&O ...but I saw the opeing credits, and it was him.

After many incorrect listings of cast members on Lost shows in the past, I'd take this information with a grain of salt. IMDB is awesome, but not so great at doublechecking the validity of some submissions they receive.

well our friend Ana-Lucia might be taking a break from the show soon if she has to serve jail time for her DUI's....

I read in People Mag. that he was off for most of the season but definitly coming back.
