Did anyone read the translation of the non-subtitled dialogue in the show last night? I found it posted on another website. It leads to two pretty interesting realizations. I will post it if no one objects.

I'm not sure. It's not really a spoiler, more like just an interesting thing. I can post it here highlighted, if that's preferable. I don't really want to go to the spoiler thread because I hate spoilers and don't want to accidentally read any.

Just re-watched the show myself, to check a couple of things. What does everyone else think about the part just before Michael starts beating on Jin and they show Jin trying to "listen" to the guys hold Michael back and it is not English, but sounds more like gibberish or even sounded like a recorded being played backwards. To me, that gives me the impression that Jin does NOT understand English (because this is what he is hearing).

I got Hurley on the TV the first time around but did not catch him and Claire in profile and then he looks at his stomach. Too funny.

Can't wait for next weeks show. Does anybody understand what Hurley says in the preview for next week. It is just after the explosion and he is standing in the woods (before he is held up by the guns). It sounds like he says "she" and then something else. I can't understand it. I have played it back several times.

I missed the whole jibberish thing the first time. I went back and replayed it and now I think I agree that Jin doesn't understand English. I think it's how he hears English too.

I'm pretty sure Hurley says "Is someone shooting at us?"

In Jin's backstory, he is visiting another man at the request of his boss. This other man's daughter is watching TV. While Jin and this other man are in the foreground, the daughter watching the TV is in the background. For a brief second, Hurley appears on the television screen.

Yes! Due to the wonder that is Tivo, I checked this out frame by frame today (ok, so I'm supposed to be "working from home" for this snow day ) Hurley is seen on Japanese TV getting into a limo. I don't see anymore than that and can't read the japanese subtitles on the screen. I wish we had more on Hurley tho. I kinda like him.

I read in an article with a writer (a long time ago-don't know if things have changed) that she is sort of a minor character and should be featured in upcoming episodes.
