Well, tonight's episode was much better than last week's. We learned a lot more about Sawyer and we learned of his connection with Jack's dad. Was disappointed Sawyer didn't tell Jack about the encounter but DH reminded me that Sawyer seems to keep information (things) until they are useful to him.

Yeah me too! My dogs start up and never shut their yaps when a show comes to a important part.

The guy told Sawyer he didn't have to shoot him, he would have paid. Then Sawyer realized he'd been set up by the man in the motel room. Evidently the shrimp guy had borrowed money from the man in the motel room so he made up the story so Sawyer would kill him. Then right before the shrimp guy died, he told Sawyer it would come around.

Wasn't the shrimp guy one of the detectives from Nash Bridges?

Okay...my turn...I missed the very beginning...the first thing I saw was Sawyer waking up on the Island...can someone tell me what happened? Thanks!

He was having a dream remembering what had happened when he was a little kids. He was little boy, about 6 or 7, and we hear a man pounding on a door & yelling. Mom comes in & tells him to get under the bed and not to come out no matter what. He does - mom leaves the room. We hear the man break through the door & then a screaming, then a loud bang. We see the boot of the man walking toward the little boys bed. Man sits down on the bed & we hear another gunshot. That's where Sawyer woke up.

Thanks so much! I thought I saw a little boy under a bed at one point. I just wanted to make sure I dind't miss something important.

Yawn! Another fairly boring episode. I hated Sawyer's first backstory and this one was almost as bad. Can't we get back to the interesting characters? Can't Hurley get one backstory before these boring ones (Jack, Charlie, Sawyer) and Kate got two?

They met in a bar in Australia and Jack's father pretty much convinced Sawyer to go finish his business - meaning kill the shrimp guy.

THey finish the raft but something happens to it, I think. Locke says something about everyone knowing that there are other people on the island.

Ugggg I wish we could get some kind of answer to something ! They keep giving us more questions without any answers !!! I must say though that Sawyer looked absolutely adorable tonight !

I like the backstories. They add puzzle pieces to the mix and even though I'm still clueless, I suspect that all of it has a meaning to the overall story.

And yes, Sawyer is SO dreamy.
