Oh darn, I was looking forward to watching that today! I taped a repeat! LOL!

ok, some thoughts after watching last night's repeat.....

one of the biggest personal mysteries to me is why is an ex- member of the Iraqi army in Australia and why is he on his way to the US. If you assume that this is post 9/11 was he on his way for nefarious reasons or did he change his life after Nadia died. Either way I'm not sure the US would have let him in.....

and we're all assuming that Ethan is maybe somehow Alex, but did you notice how careful they were never to mention a pronoun associated with him/her. Even in the foreign language stuff it was always Ou Est Alex, never ou est lui or ou est elle. and Rousseau said at the end alex was "her child"

so I'm thinking Alex is a girl and that's why they wanted Claire's baby, maybe she and Ethan lost one? And evideently there are lots of polar bears....

In one of the first episodes he told Hurley he served in the gulf war, and Hurley asked what branch, and his answer was the Republican Guard.

Ok, last weeks espisode, the boys step father no longer wanted him because """"" He makes things happen??????

Ok, did anyone notice the comic book he was reading had a polar bear in it attacking. Right after the father burned it, when he ran off with his dog a "Polar bear attacked him!!! HMMMMMMMMMMM did he make that happen?

I got the impression that Sayid changed after what happened with Nadia. When he and Jack tortured Sawyer, didn't Sayid say something about it had been a long time since he had done something like that?

I noticed the polar bear on the comic.... did anyone notice that when they were telling the little boys story....the part where he was lying on the floor reading a book about birds and his stepfather was talking to his mom..the boy was trying to get the stepfathers attention and the stepfather would not pay attention and all of a sudden a bird flys into the window and dies?? Maybe the boy makes things happen when he gets angry... ??

I live in NZ where 'Lost' had its first 2hr screening last night - and of course I loved it and jumped on the net to find out some spoilers. And this led me to here! My main question is what is the monster??? I read to page 18 of this thread and figured that it was probably quicker and easier to join up and see if someone wanted to fill me in on what happens??? All spoilers appreciated! I know, I know ... I have no patience in waiting and watching!

The mystery of the monster remains a mystery. The only definitely known is that the producers have emphatically said in interviews that it is NOT a dinosaur.

My question for anyone that may have taped or TiVo-ed last night's rerun ... at the end of the teaser for next week's ep, who was carrying the body bag? We noticed Locke but didn't notice who else.

Pixcie, Welcome to the DIS and our "Lost" thread! I'm sure someone will fill you in, but you might want to skim the 60 pages (!!!!) as there are some nice photos posted from the show as well as discussions on who's the 'hottest' cast member and a link to the "Sawyer" song.

I tivo'd it and just checked...it looks like Locke and Boone and a third person, maybe female? I can't tell, the 3rd person is hidden.

Yep, I skimmed through alot of pages after my post last night! Seems to leave more questions than answers!!! I guess I will just have to wait and watch ..... I can't believe you don't know what the thing is yet! You are at the end of the first season now, right?

Right now Lost is midway through the first season. The most recent new episode (with Michael and Walt's backstory) was #14. If they are doing 22 episodes this season, there are 8 more to go.
