LOST.Discuss the current episodes SEASON PREMIERE Wednesday!!!!

I picked up part of the conversation between Boone and Shannon and she asked him if he was with his new boyfriend .......(is Boone gay)

Ok...I think I am in agreement that the show is moving just a little too slowly in answering questions (dont get me wrong....I still like it)...but it was almost boring last night. It just seems like they need to explain SOMETHING...ANYTHING....to make us keep watching. I also didnt like how they just dropped the Claire thing...especially since they kept using that in the commercials for the new episode.

I like Kate and Sawyer together....they have a much better chemistry than her and Jack. And they need to either explain Kate's story or just MOVE ON to someone else.

Im really looking forward to Boone and Hurley's story.

I just expected more out of last night's episode then what they delivered.

Thats interesting. Where did you see this at?

Someone pointed out on the imdb boards. There is a huge Lost following over there, but for the most part I don't read much there because there are too many spoilers. But that one caught my eye. Very interesting since nothing on this show is done by accident.

Geez, I thought maybe we might get at least one answer, like what the silver box or underground building might be, but, no, more questions.

I agree that Kate must be more than a criminal, and even though Sawyer did'nt take his pants off, they had a good shot of him standing at the water and those pants were pretty low!

Did any of you notice the dead couple in the water? the dead man was wearing a suit, but no shoes or socks? shoes can be knocked off, but not socks.

Locke hitting Boone next week because he doesn't want him telling anything about their find. Does it seem that most of these people don't tell whats in their lives, or outright lie? Is this why they're on the island to begin with? Purgatory?

I don't remember seeing the lockbox number.... maybe I need to watch it again!

I don't think they show it. Kate said to give her lockbox 815(?).

I've been addicted to Lost from the first episode. I actually fell asleep last night in the middle of it. It just didn't have the excitment and drama that the other episodes have had. My dh woke me up. I wanted to smack him! He said he thought I would be mad if I didn't see the whole thing. Uh..... we have Tivo, I could have watched it later. Up until last night, everything was happening in an order. Last night, it was like Claire hardly existed. The thing Locke found last time was hardly a story. And the little airplane in a safe deposit box?? What the heck. That episode really turned me off. Hopefully it will pick up. THe scenes for next week look good.

I guess I just don't get what everyone is complaining about. Before last night, one of the biggest questions in the story was "WHAT DID KATE DO TO GET ARRESTED?" Well, that's been answered now, even if it was also replaced by a new question: She helped rob a bank and shot at least three people (and by her own admission, killed a fourth).

As for the Claire thing...What should they do ? Run in circles, scream and shout ? Jump on their horse and gallop off in all directions ? I think the "warning" the bad guys gave in hanging Charlie might have a little bit of a dampening effect on any massive search and rescue plans as well.

Oh, and as for the Locke / Boone storyline...Boone is so interested in showing what a great guy he is (and just as good as the Doc), he would be easy to convince not to say anything about their discovery. Locke...well, I just don't trust Locke anymore. He's been strange ever since he saw the "thing" in the woods. I don't want to get too "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" on ya', but I just don't think Locke is himself anymore...Maybe I'm wrong and he's just caught up in "the hunt", but I don't think so.

Oh, and DW wants to know if Sawyer is any relation to Mathew McConaughey....

No, but William Mapother (Ethan) is Tom Cruise's cousin.

I don't think that question has been answered. I don't think that's all there is to Kate. Remember the marshall told Jack that Kate is "very dangerous". What we saw last night was not "very dangerous". I believe there's still way more behind that story line.

I have to admit the last few episodes have not "hooked" me. I'm pretty much just watching to find out what happens. I'm going to be very disappointed if it's not good.

Umm....She shot at least three people, and she admitted to Jack last night that she had killed another. So...what, exactly, would someone have to do to be considered "very dangerous" in your book ? :)

And, as with any good "serial", I'm sure you're right and there IS more to her story than just the bank robbery. But it IS a "serial"...not a movie. They've got to keep playing out little bits of information at a time for as long as possible. If they answered every question before the summer hiatus, how could they come back next year ?

First let me say that it's nice to see so many other Sawyer fans on this thread!!!
The accent sounds pretty real to me. Often actors do the southern accent way over the top (think Steel Magnolias) but his is just right  .

I don't really have any predictions on Kate's former "profession", but I think the agent thing might be true. Remember when they began looking for Claire she showed tracking skills.
She's so sweet and angelic looking on the show it's hard to believe she could be a terrible person, but that would make for good TV.

I loved how she talked in front of Sun not knowing Sun speaks English. Now someone else knows of her secret past.

I don't think they've forgotten about Claire. Jack told Sayid he needed him to take him to the French woman because they still had Claire.

Locke - still can't figure out if he's a good guy or a bad guy.

And the whole Shannon and Boone spoiler: that could be gross.

While I do like Jack (loved him as Charlie on Party of 5), I like Kate & Sawyer together. Kate & Sawyer do have an incredible chemistry together. Not to mention he is HOT! This show is so addicting it's unbelievable. I find myself sitting on the edge of my seat every week since Episode 1, feeling like it just CAN'T be over by the end of the hour.

I like Sawyer and Kate together too. I think her and Jack (i still want to call him Charlie from Party of Five) are good but her with Sawyer seems more exciting and less predictable.
I also hope Claire doesn't die, she was one of my favorite castaways.

No, I don't consider what they showed last night to be "very dangerous". She shot those people in the leg. She didn't kill them. I believe she shot them so that they wouldn't kill the manager. Now, maybe the marshall did not mean "physically" dangerous. Perhaps she's just "mentally" dangerous.

tvtome.com has the synopses of the next two episodes on their web site. Just so no one who wants to avoid spoilers gets spoiled, I'm not going to copy and paste them here. The link will take you right to their page on Lost. I'll just say that the one for the 19th looks to be interesting.

I wonder if the producers have things planned out and this will be a finite series, like was done with Babylon 5, and will come to a conclusion after 3-4 seasons. In this day where TV shows see high sales on DVD, it's entirely possible. Personally I'm finding the ride to be a great one.
