LOST.Discuss the current episodes SEASON PREMIERE Wednesday!!!!

I liked the show and thought it was suspenseful at times. It made me jump at least once.

I tuned in 5 minutes late, and they had already crashed. I felt like I'd already missed too much to figure anything out so I gave up. Any idea if they will replay the pilot this weekend?

oohhh I like it!!! I was kind of surprised how gory it was though and it was on at 7:00 !!!!! :scratchin

I also watched because of Dominic Monaghan but liked it so far

The plane had already crashed at the opening of the show....scenes inside the plan were cut to later on in the story.
I suppose I shouldn't tell you that I get to see the second hour at my friends house on Friday night (she works for an ABC affiliate). No, I won't say 'neener, neener'

Didn't anyone else think the 'creature' was mechanical sounding? Don't think anything natural would sound like that.....even a dinasour!

I enjoyed this last night too! :D

The one thing I can't see, though: if this show DOES make it..... can you imagine this plotline carrying on for 5 seasons? I kind of wonder what the creators have in mind.....

I just finished watching this and I was very interested in the story, although, I must admit, I kept asking myself if certain things were possible? (Could someone really survive something like that? Possibly?)

Anyway, I liked how the movie didn't tell you everything about the characters. For example, what is up with the foreign couple and the guy telling her to "follow him" everywhere?

I did think it was a little bit gory, but overall I liked it. I will definitely tune in next week! I have no idea though what the monster is.

Oh and what is up with the Dog??

DH Matt heard an interview with the writers for this show and they said that the identity of the creature is extremely confidential. They did say one thing though...

It's NOT a dinosaur!

I think it has something to do with the Bermuda Triangle or something. Didn't the pilot say they somehow ended up 1000 miles off course?

which one was Dominic Monaghan. I just dont know who he is.
and I agree that this plot could have longevity problems.
We will have to see.

I thought it was interesting and I really like the main star, Doctor Jack. I must look him up. :)

Dominic Monaghan was Charlie, the little guy that went with the doctor and girl to the cockpit of the plane. He was in Lord of the Rings as Pippin or Merry. Which was it?

He was Merry in LOTR! He was funny last night, "Charlies OK too, ya know".

I don't think it's a dinosaur, too obvious. I knew as soon as the pilot stuck his head out the window he was toast.

I totally agree, even said to dh last night, that this is not the right time slot for this show. The guy getting sucked into the engine and the pilot in the tree, that was more like NYPD Blue time slot stuff.

I loved it so far. I don't care if any of it is believable, it was fun :D .

I loved it when the big guy was delivering meals, and he brought the pregnant woman a second meal, how sweet!

I was thinking the dog is the boys too, I'm guessing he was on the plane. However, what the heck is he doing??? I think he'd be running like mad after any person he saw, or trying to find the other people. Instead he's walking around looking all mysterious (well as much as a dog can :p ).

Oh yeah!
I knew he looked familiar. Thanks
I thought for sure he was going to get it. I really liked Fox in party of five. Before that show went down hill.
lets hope this one last a few more seasons then "Party".

It's not supposed to be a dinosaur, but the roar sounded like what you hear on all movies for a T-Rex. When they found the pilot, I kept saying out loud, be still, don't move, make no sound. But of course, they moved, and the scene of the pilot by the window, knew he was going to get it.

The filming is done is such a way that you can't see what gets him, also, his body being put in a tree shows that the "monster is tall", but why would this creature put the body in a tree?

When they showed the trees or shrubs going down, you can't see anything, something that big should show itself, and what kept it from going on the beach where the survivors are?

The dog, if it was on the plane, wouldn't it naturally go to the group of people? Instead, it looks as though it is watching.

What made them go down? What if the "creature" is something that was on the plane with them? Whats up with the guy with the orange in his mouth?:scratchin

OK, here's what I think. Did you all see the handcuffs at the end? I'm thinking this is like The Island of Dr. Morreau (?). A force field pulls in planes like the Bermuda Triangle, then the survivors are used in experiments As for the foriegn couple, I believe they are Japanesse, I'm thinking since this seems to be set in the South Pacific (the pilot mentioned something about Fiji) the couple, through legend or hearsay, is aware of what goes on on this island. What do you think????

LOL Hopetobee, you sound like me, I keep questioning everything in my mind!! :p

Cantw8, that is a great theory!! I wonder if that is why the Japanese couple are being so secretive!! I would definitely believe that!

Cantw8--that definitely sounds interesting, I can see it, just like you said, the Japanese couple?, seem to know something.

The handcuffs-didn't they look pretty shiny? Thrown from the plane, or originally from the island?:scratchin

Bermuda Triangle setup, Dr Moroau(sp) island, psychic from plane with their own agenda, or planned by someone for some sort of a test or experiment? It doesn't look like a real animal, no tracks, no smell, and the pilots body not eaten.:scratchin

I may be hallucinating, but I seem to remember a very short lived series (Not Land Of The Lost) back in the 70s that had a similar premise. A plane crashed on a remote island and the survivors had to make the best of it. It even seem to remember that a doctor on the plane sort of took charge. Have I lost my mind entirely?

Really good show - should have been 2 hours last night tho.

The creature/monster/whatever can't be a dinosaur - too predictable. I have no idea what tho. I think the Bermuda Triangle theory is a good one.:D

I LOVED this!!! I have been waiting for it ever since I saw the first preview months ago. Sadly I worked last night so SO taped it and I watched when I got home. Also think it should be on later. I don't think it is anything like dinosaurs or Island of Dr. Moreau. I read somewhere online about them seeing things and then them disappearing, or seeing things that just couldn't be, like a polar bear on this tropical island. No matter what I am hooked. SO and I both loved it. I was saying this could have been a great movie, but how cool it is a series.

I liked it, but I couldn't help but notice the LACK Of injuries! Yes, many died, but many of the survivors seemed to be just fine...I know, I know it's TV. And how lucky that Jack is a dr AND took flight lessons!
