Three people were shooting off the rockets - Sayid, Shannon and Kate. Sawyer joined Kate, then Kate left to save Jack, leaving Sawyer with her rocket. So, when the rockets were actually launched, we saw Sayid and Shannon shoot them. The third rocket was launched, but we never saw who did it...

I love this show too! I love Sayid, isn't he hot! I can't believe how good this show is for a new show. I also like the guy who runs around chasing after wild anilmals.


What exactly is at the heart of the Island? How did they survive such a crash?

Just my take on it.

My DH and I were discussing the fact that Locke has become something of a Christ figure (a term I learned in a Lit class) on the Island.

Being able to rise from his wheelchair is akin to Resurrection. He has provided food for the multitudes, and he teaches in parables.

Maybe I am being to symbolic?

Yeah, but the rocket wouldn't have gone off without someone to let it off - and I can't imagine Sawyer would have been able to rig the rocket to go off while he found Sayid to clobber him with a stick. I can't see how that scenario would work out. I have a feeling it's going to be a character we either do not know of, or have not yet seen (such as the french woman as mentioned earlier).

I'm not sure Sayid went to a pre-determined place. Someone would have had to follow him in order to know where he was. I think the person who hit him is a new character. Someone already on the island. Although, I thought it was strange that it wasn't brought up in the preview for next week. We just see Sayid back at the camp acting normal.

I am having trouble remembering which parts happened in the first 15 minutes, except Sawyer came out of the ocean nude!!!

1st 15 minutes:

Kate walks along the beach, sees some clothing. Sawyer's in the ocean swimming. Sawyer starts moving towards the beach, we see his back... he's nude.

He and Kate trade barbs again. Sawyer's still coming on to Kate and Kate just wants to be rid of him.

Backstory of Sawyer... he's in bed with a woman, they're having sex. She says that he's got a meeting to go to, he jumps out of bed, grabs a suitcase... suitcase breaks open, stacks of money come tumbling out. Girl sees money, wonders what Sawyer's up to.
Sawyer finally explains that he's got this oil deal coming up and it takes $300,000 to join in with the promis of tripling the money in one week. He says he's got $160,000 now and he's meeting some people who'll give him the rest. Woman says, wait... I'll give you the money instead and you can split it with me. Sawyer says:"Where do you get that kind of money?" Woman says: "From my husband"

Is that the 15 minutes you need or do you need more?

I only saw bits of the show where someone drowned. Charlie, I mean Jack, I still see him as Charlie from Party of Five, went in to the ocean to save her. Who was it?
