Locke was out carving and skinning the boar he caught. He was close to the caves since Charlie came to talk to him.

I don't think Locke would've hit Sayid since it seems Locke is like the spiritual guide for these "lost" survivors.

Just my take on it.

I think it could be the mysterious French lady that hit Sayid and hopefully we'll find out who it was next week. The previews look really good for next week. Did anyone see Kate getting ready to kiss Sawyer?!?! What's up with that?
I think Sayid has a crush on Kate as well and if Charlie doesn't start making his move, he may just lose out.
This has to be the quickest hour on tv! I can't wait until next week!!!

In the preview it looked like the spoiled girl had an asthma attack & her brother said she needed her inhalers. Sawyer supposedly has 'em & he told Kate she could have 'em if she kissed him. At least that's what I caught in the quick preview.

I agree that it might be someone new on the scene. I've read that new people are joining the cast. At least Sayid is alive and well in the next episode.
Speaking of the next episode, did I see the previews correctly? Was Sawyer in handcuffs and getting beaten? I had company come in just as they were showing the previews and I couldn't fully focus on it. As far as Kate kissing Sawyer-I'm sure it was very benign. Me, I'd kiss him any day. I've always preferred the bad boys. I love Sawyer! I think he's a great character (and awful cute, too.) I also think that everything is not what it seems, and it's going to turn out that he's really a nice guy.

11/04 - The survivors are not alone. Sayid is taken captive by a long-time strandee: an armed and cryptic French woman (Mira Furlan), who's alternately violent and sympathetic. The ordeal triggers painful memories for Sayid, who recalls his past as a captive interrogator.

The date for this episode is 11/4 but I am fairly sure everything got pushed a week because one of the debates was on a Wed.

I can't believe how quickly that hour goes by.
It's so great for me to have a show to actually look forward to watching each week.
I liked how the spoiler was put in white. I didn't dare look at it. I don't want to spoil next week's show.

Oh, spoilers in white is a new must do. I hate 'accidentally' seeing them. Of course, I read THIS one

OK, we have this cool new thing at work (I work at a TV station) and you all are going to be green with envy. I can view live and past network TV shows from my computer screen at my desk! Which means I NEVER have to worry about missing or not taping LOST. AND I can go back and review and freeze frame scenes. So if we ever have questions about a prop or a background person, I can check it out for us. COOL, huh?

You know, we've all been saying it can't be Sawyer because he was shooting off his rocket. Um, did anyone actually see Sawyer do it? Sure, we saw a rocket, but...

I'm confused. I thought the sister was shooting off the rockets. Was Sawyer shooting off rockets somewhere other than the beach and by Sayid? Also, I think we're being led to believe it's Sawyer that smacked Sayid. But it's possible someone else from camp followed them. I'd say Locke did it as he stands to lose a great deal by getting off the island. But supposedly he was killing and skinning the boar during all the commotion. So who knows? I love this show and wish it was on more than just once a week!
