LOST BERKINSTOCKS AUG 28 cruise

If you sailed on the Disney MAGIC AUG 28...I had my blue berkies with me on deck 9 by the pools Sept 4. I did visit all the pools that day while we were at port in GALVASTON> I remember having to walk barefoot when I was watching the ship leave ( remember how hot the decks were). If anyone picked up my BERKINSTOCK sandels can you please return them to me. I have to have those because of my leg/foot surgery and I am unable to wear a strap or shoe over my foot. I have the model of them if you have them and want it varified.
I am disabled now and my husband lost his job. I really can not afford another pair and it is so pain ful to wear other shoes. Please notify me if you found them. I did report it to DCL immediately. If you saw me after Saturday,,, I was the one walking barefoot to dinners..

Hi Doreen!

I didn't know you lost your sandals - sorry!

Did you call DCL and ask if they were turned into the lost and found? If you left them on Deck 9 it is possible someone turned them in, maybe even a CM! Good Luck and I miss you guys!

Yes, they are gone.. I went to guest services immediately. I checked 5-6 times a day until we left. I even looked at the bins at the PORT. I guess I can claim them on the insurance too. The only other thing then was bad,, was that TMA broke my bottles of VANILLA in the check in when they tossed it from the plane to the convayor.. They told me "no, it broke in Florida" . I said no,, it only started leaking now,, it was just begining to saturate the bags and wrapping. Oh well... my mistake for putting them in check in.
At least the smoothie maker made it home safe.
Did you see BOBBYs pics? I have all mine too. I will have to find a way to get them on line.
I miss you guys too.. I can hear you talk as I read your messages. Its so funny..

Doreen, I'm sorry you lost your sandals I really hope they turn up. I seem to be missing 2 t-shirts that we bought in Mickey's Mates on Monday. I bought the white Castaway Cay shirt for me, and a gray DCL shirt for John, and I cannot find them anywhere here at home. I know this doesn't compare to your sandals missing, though. Please let us know if they turn up!

And I know *exactly* what you mean about "hearing" everyone as we read their posts!! I can see you and hear you, right now. Wish we were all still together!!!

Wow I Just got this new pair of sandals last weekend and boy are they comfy... only bad thing is this nasty stain by the toe. Cant imagine what its from

Hey, I'd be more than willing to go to NJ for an Aug 28th cruisers meet!! We go to NJ fairly often through the year. But I wanted to offer up our house for a meet, thinking it might be in between upstate NY and NJ.

And I admit, I still am not finished uppacking.

Doreen, I'm sorry you lost your Birkenstocks. I own three pair and know just how comfy they are!! I can't imagine that yours would feel as comfortable on someone else's feet. If you end up having to replace then, check out QVC as they have Birkenstocks that are pretty reasonably priced. HTH

Hi Doreen! Of course kids are invited to our DIS meet, between us all we must have 1000 kids or so LOL! As far as my pics I haven't the foggiest idea how to post them. Remember, you had to get all the writing of my LCD screen for me ha! Me & John are going to try and figure it out this weekend. It's a new camera and we're clueless. We love looking at them on that little, little screen though! I don't think I can post them all though especially the Surial one (just kidding, no camera in there )

Go on the internet and check out the Birkenstock sites. Birkenstock.com is one I have used a lot and shipping is usually free if you order $100. That is easy to do with Birks. There are several others out there so do a search and start looking. The bonus is that they all have discontinued shoes in various sizes in their bargain sections of all of the web sites. You might be able to find your shoes at even a lower price than what you originally paid. I too prefer Birks and I know who ever has them won't be able to wear them since Birks form to each foot, even my ones that are made for the water are formed for my foot. Kathy

I know I can do that,, its just the matter that they were taken. I love my BERKIES... You are right,, they won't fit the person that took them.. So sad.. Thanks. I will look for my style on the net. There is a Berkie store in Willimasburg Virginia. My sister is going there this week to see if they are still there...
