So, I leave TOMORROW and I just realized I have my magic bands, passholder sliders, and discount card, BUT can't seem to locate the actual AP's themselves (are the real AP's just the ones with our names written in sharpie on the back?).

Will I be ok with what I have? (It seems as if they're phasing out the discount cards in favor of just the AP).

I do want to upgrade my AP to the Platinum one to take advantage of the photopass entitlement. Will it matter that I don't have a card to do that? Assuming I get a new card when I upgrade will it matter that my son doesn't have a card (he won't be going without me).

I'm sure I put those dang cards in a very good spot...which I will find when I get home next week. Grrrrr!!

You can get new AP Cards with your photo ID at any ticket window or guest relations. (Yes the real AP is the card with your name in sharpie on the back)

I have two. I believe the one with the sharpie is the temporary AP then I have another one that's gold with my name printed on the back. I've used them interchangeably.

We made it all the way to Florida without our APs before magic bands and green glowing Mickey's. It was a complete non-issue, no problems at all. With MBs used today I think it would only matter for free parking. As far as upgrading, you are offering Disney money. Of COURSE they will take it :)
