My daughter lost her "lovey", a stuffed animal, at BCV in April. We believe she left it in her bed tangled up in the covers. We only stayed one night in the room, then transferred to BWV as planned. We did not realize he was missing for 2 days. I called and visited lost and found at BCV several times and they could not find him. I also checked at BWV. My question is this: If she by chance dropped it somewhere in the BCV/BWV area, rather than leaving it in our room, are there any other lost and found locations I should be calling? We never brought him to the parks or into our rental car. Thanks for any ideas.

There is a Lost and Found office over at the Ticket and Tranportation center.
Throughout the years, I have visited many, many times LOL...autograph books, child's wallet, hats, and most recently my sunglasses, lost on the dinosaur ride.

Some things we recovered , others, we did not (sunglasses). I saw a monorail driver carry in 2 armsful of items,3 one of a kind shoes, two cameras, one case, clothes, etc. One child found his prescription glasses. I looked through 7 trays of sunglasses...about 25 each tray. 3 days worth just at Animal Kingdom! and just plastic glasses, wire glasses were in different trays!

If you are still at WDW, go to the T&T center, If you are home, call to check. They have tons of items! I hope your child's lovey is there!

I'm sorry to say that if this happened in April, it's highly unlikely your DD's "lovey" will be found :sad1:

There is a central lost & found, this info is from the Dis:

Lost and Found

Contact numbers if you lose a belonging at WDW:

407-560-5408 - Blizzard Beach

407-824-4245 - Theme Parks

407-560-6296 - Typhoon Lagoon

If you lose an item, ask for and fill out a form at Guest Services. It will be turned into Central Lost and Found. Hopefully it will lead to the recovery of your article.

DS lost his "blankie" at Disney's HHI resort a few years ago (he was 7 or 8). We left the room for breakfast and came back after they had cleaned the room. Blankie had been put on a chair for "safe keeping":rolleyes1 but the housekeeper must not have seen it and threw all the dirty sheets/blankets/towels there and then scooped it all up. Unfortunately, blankie was barely more than a rag at that points; had lost all of its color and was tied together in pieces. We called housekeeping immediately and they searched, called their laundry contractors, but they never found it. They did come by the room that evening and gave DS a plush Mickey & Tigger to sleep with to help (didn't really help, but it was a nice idea). We're going back to HHI for the first time in Oct and when we told him that we made the ressie, he got teary eyed and left the room :sad2: Hopefully he'll be able to move on and enjoy the trip.

I wish you all the best with your DD's lovey :goodvibes Maybe some pixiedust: will come your way

The same thing happened to us several years ago when my young son lost his prized stuffed eyeore -- a blue one at the time they were making gray ones. We called immediately that night when we discovered he was missing - we assumed he went in the laundry as he was too beat up to be a collector's item. We call every possible place at disney even for weeks after but he never showed up. Apparently all the hotel linens go to one mega central facility.

Disney was really sympathetic and actually sent us a new grey eyeore as a replacement when the original couldn't be found but it didn't do the trick. Three months later my son still woke up nights crying for eyeore so in desperation I went on ebay and found an exact copy of the missing animal -- he was so happy that eyeore was "found". Hope some pixie dust helps you out.

Thank you for your responses. DD still asks me to call the Beach club. At the moment she feels strongly that Santa will return it! I don't think she'll fall for the switch trick. I'll call the lost and founds suggested. Thanks again!

The problem is that IF these things hit the commercial laundry... they tend not to survive!! (Sorry!)

The machines there are BIG and tough and the "press" is this huge thing that just ROLLS things out to flat.... Stuffed animals and "worn blankies" wind up as "lint" (I know....:( )

This happened a really long time ago, we brought our Neice to DW, when she was 9. We stayed at the POLY. She had Teddy - he was filthy and was missing an eye. He must have been hidden in the bed, we forgot him, when we moved to the Treehouse Villas. We called and told the POLY what happened, left her name and address, never expecting anything. She took it so hard we cancelled our reservations at the Empress Lily. Told you it was a long time ago.

Fast forward 12 weeks later. UPS shows up at SIL house, big box from Disney world. Teddy was inside all cleaned up with a new eye. So way back when - magic really did happen.
