Lost and found in the parks

for my graduation trip in 2000, I bought a swimsuit from Typhoon Lagoon on our last day before driving home.....I sat down in World of Disney and left it there....I was flipping out, we called a lot, and they found it and sent it to me 2 weeks later!

Three years ago I lost an ergo baby carrier I was borrowing from a friend. Either it fell out of our stroller going to the hill from TOT or I left it on the bench behind the coffee cart when I took it off to nurse my baby.

I visited guest relations 2-3 times that day and they never had it but we stopped bybthe TTC lost and found the next morning and there it was!! I was SOOOO thankful to whoever turned it in. Id cried half the day when it was lost.

We lost our point and shoot camera on our first night in WDW back in May. Tried calling central lost and found a few times but we couldn't get through, so on our last day we went to TTC and hoped for the best. They had it! It was found on the bridge between the Hub and Tomorowland which means we must have lost it during Wishes. We were actually kind of surprised that it was found in the dark and didn't get kicked into the water.

We have lost my DS monkey leash 3xs at Disney and found it each time! It just seems to hate living in our stroller. It slips out all the time, and each time we go to the TTC lost and found, and there it is, waiting for us. I'm convinced that it just wants to vacation on it's own.

I lost my debit card once somewhere between the Chinese pavilion at EPCOT and riding ToT the next morning. It was never recovered but I admit we didn't head to Magic Kingdom (where they told us to go at the time, not the TTC) to track it down. I had enough on me to last the vacation and cancel the card. More recently, I left my whole bag on 7DMT! :faint: Thankfully we realized within a matter of minutes and it was still in the pouch. I was able to enter through the exit and met a Cast Member to retrieve it. Anything else friends or relatives have lost have remained so.

I can't believe no mentioned this yet, but I lost my child and I got him back. Although, technically that wasn't Disney, but a nice lady who let him borrow her phone to call me.

I did lose my caricatures drawings on a bus. I knew as soon as the bus pulled away. But we didn't get them back. However, I wasn't very persistent.

My son lost his pin lanyard years ago on the nest to last night of a weeklong trip. He had finally traded to complete all the sets he was looking for. It was lost on the monorail at 2:00 am after a VERY long night in the MK. We tried every guest relations and called from home as well, never turned up.
I left my camera on the counter at the RnR coaster picture area. Didn't realize it until I got to 50s for lunch. Rushed back over and they told me it was sent right to guest services. Ran to Guest Services and there it was. That would have been a heartbreaking loss.

I found one of my daughter's flip flops at the main lost and found near the TTC 2 days after it was lost. I found our rolled up artwork (white paper secured with a rubber band) at Guest Relations at DHS after leaving it in the ToT gift shop. Last week my dad left his cell phone on the bench at the Magical Express bus stop at AoA. It was reported lost less than 10 minutes after he boarded the bus. 6 days later and it hasn't been found at AoA, the main lost and found, or at Mears.

I think a point to this thread could be that each of us, as guests, if we find something that isn't ours, we should immediately turn it into the nearest Cast Member. I found something that I thought was very insignificant and told my husband I was going to give it to a Cast Member. He said, "why, that's not worth anything." I replied, "maybe not to us but there could be some history with the person who lost it and they want it back".

My Gammy lost her glasses once in MK, but we didn't know where. We had no luck at Guest Relations but found them the next morning at central Lost & Found. I can't even recall the amount of iPhones that I've found around the park.. on benches, on window sills.. I seem to have lost phone radar. I always turn them in and hope that the owners get them back!

Last trip I lost my camera at DHS. It fell out of my cargo shorts at either Star Tours or at Disney Junior Live when I sat on the floor, I didn't realize it until after the show. I thought it was at Star Tours because I remembered hearing a thud while I was in there. The CM was very nice and let me go back into the car to look, but it wasn't there. It was about midway through our trip, including 2 days at US, so I was pretty upset. Not so much about the camera, more about the pictures on it. Ruined the rest of that day. The next morning I called lost and found and they had it there. I booked it from Dumbo all the way to the TTC. I was relieved to have it back. Needless to say I will be uploading pictures on a nightly basis from now on, something I used to do but didn't do on that trip.

Funnier story about lost items. During a trip as a kid, we visited Kennedy Space Center and I got a NASA hat. I was really into space exploration as a kid and I loved that hat. I lost it in the MK, but my dad took me back to the Cape to get a replacement. When we got home and developed our pictures (back in the days of film) we saw the hat sitting under one of the benches in the MK. We still get a laugh out of that. Then as an adult I lost a NY Yankees 2000 WS cap, which was never found (left a belt in a hotel room during the same trip). I have since stopped packing hats for Disney because I obviously have bad luck with them there.

if they don't have it at lost and found in the park, wait till the next day. items get sent to the central lost and found at the TTC. I retrieved my jacket there after leaving it at Beirgarten (one of those feb. trips where you didn't know if you needed a jacket or not)

Lost my hat on the old Test Track at Epcot once, looked around with a CM for it for a bit. We were leaving that night so we probably missed it turning up at the TTC the next day
