Lost a bag with valuables

Hello folks! I sailed the lovely Disney dream the 18 thru the 21st. It was all a dream until i got off the boat. unfortunately i didn't discover that a bag was missing until the night of return. I am sure it was lost at the terminal... right were I waited for my shuttle. Lots of our memories were on my phone which was in the bag lost. ---Sigh--- Not to mention other important documents, souvenirs and misc things.

Well now this is day 3 of it not turning up and I keep being told by Disney that they will look again when the next cruise comes in...... Should i keep faith??? I am just saddened over all of this.....

I really hope your bag does turn and is found!
You really should be more diligent though! Not keeping eyesight on your bags does cause chaos for other travellers when there is an unattended bag left and then that area is evacuated!
Weird that you can pin point the place where it was left (the cruise terminal departures) but not any other place on the way home? How come?
Keep the faith! There are a lot of good people out there that may have handed it in, and your bag might just be in the processing stage of lost.
Lesson for you though! You might be at the end of your vacation, but self reliance and responsibility didn't end there!

Thanks! I have already beat myself up. I will be more responsible!! Thanks!!! Yes, I know i had it because i had to dig out the phone number to call the shuttle!! And i had to go in my bag for it!! Thank for your advise.

Did you check with the shuttle folks? Maybe it got left on the shuttle or mixed in with some other passengers luggage? Just a thought. Hope it turns up.

Hi. I did!!! No luck ! i had my kids , husband...(aka third child) and my parents with me and in the rush to get out I think we got mixed up with our bags..... left it behind.


Still hopeful!!! Thx for your suggestion!

just a thought but if your phone is with it did you try calling it? maybe someone would answer. that might help.

Thanks for your good luck wish. I did call and call and sent texts to the phone in case someone could read it...... no response. I will suspend my service though now.... according to the phone company the phone was "off". It was on before I lost it... but possibly the battery died. It's not expensive phone...but pics from the trip and my contacts on there....

Hi. Yes, I called them but they said it would be taken to Disney lost and found if found......

I lost my video camera on the fantasy a couple of years ago and didn't realize it until we were on the train home. It took a week or two for it to show up at lost and found. Don't beat yourself up over it. The chaos in leaving and handling the kids and such can cause anyone of us to do the same thing. Fingers crossed that it shows up soon!

If your replacement is another Android-based phone, make sure you install Google's Android Device Manager (link to Google Play Store). You have to run the app and get it set up to locate devices and remotely wipe data, if needed.

If you get an iPhone, make sure you allow the "Find my iPhone" feature.

On the bright side ... you get a new phone!

I'd also recommend installing and using the Photos app from Google. Set it to automatically sync all of your photos (this is free if you let Google resize the photos to 16 mega-pixel). With that set up, if the same scenario were to happen again, the photos you had taken with the phone on the cruise would have started to sync as soon as the phone was back on the cellular network at port.

There are similar apps from Amazon (Prime Photos), Apple (also called Photos, but only on iPhone) and others. If you're paranoid, like me, use more than one of them!

Wow, "it must be nice to be perfect and odor free." It's not often I get to quote John Candy from Planes, Trains and Automobiles but what a perfect occasion, thanks!
