losing weight on the way to Mickey!

Monday morning weigh in and I am down 2 more pounds for a total of 10 pounds in 3 weeks. Training for my 1/2 marathon in April is going well. I did 5 miles on Saturday and swam for 2 hours with the kids on Sunday. Today I will be doing 3 miles. I rented a documentary from the library that was the opening ceremony of Disneyland. I watched it yesterday while I was doing food prep for the week. It was really neat to watch and kept me motivated for the week. Have a new recipe I am trying tonight - Roasted Tomato Basil sauce over Zucchini noodles. Have a great Monday!

Hi all!
Just got back from the gym...I did 35 min mod intensity walk....ive been streaming movies at the ymca while on the treadmill because I can't walk in my neighborhood after dark....to much traffic (afraid ill get hit by a car)

I'm struggling to not go over my carbs and wonder what does everyone eat for protein..... Ive got greek yogurt and premier protein....but I'm struggling cause nuts put me up on the fat grams....as a result im under calories to avoid carbs...but I don't mind eating more if its protein!

You would be surprised how much protein broccoli has. Also peas, asparagus, and lentils have high protein. I love roasted broccoli. We are having warmer weather then normal for this time of year so I am enjoying getting outside to get in my miles. I was only able to get 1.5 miles done yesterday before I got wet so I will do 3 miles again tonight. I am trying to plan some healthy snacks for Superbowl Sunday. I hope everyone's week is going well.

I lost 2 more lbs! Which I was excited about because it was my sons bday sunday and we went out to dinner and I thought for sure I wouldn't lose weight but I did!! YAY!! So excited I'm up to 10 lbs lost! I just need 10 more before april 12th to hit my goal! Zumba starts Friday so that should kick start my weight loss!!

I hope everyone is having a successful week!

Eat well be well!!

Well done to everyone for achievements throughout the week!

My round up from the week: It turns out my scales at home are wrong - the gym scales are MUCH nicer ;) I had all of my measurements etc taken, stood on the super-dooper-analyse-everything about your body scales and had a fitness test. The following day (wed) I had a walk through with my gym program and then it was left to me!

Wednesday afternoon I completed my first gym circuit while the kids were having swim lessons.
Thursday afternoon, another gym circuit.
Friday morning I did an aqua class suitable for all fitness levels. I was the youngest there and the oldies put me to shame :rotfl2:

The weekend is time off so just incidental exercise - putting washing on line, a bit of gardening etc

Diet wise: I started the 5:2 diet and had back to back fast days with exactly the same meals as it was just easier to prepare everything all at once. Went over calorie limit on Wednesday as I grabbed a banana after gym (was starving). But managed to stay below 500 calories on Thursday. Tonight it's standard pizza/treat night which is the only way I can stick to any diet.

So new stats according to the gym - my goal weight has also changed as I need to lose a little more than assumed.
Weight 85kg (187.393)
Goal weight 63kg (138.891)
Need to drop 22kg (48.5017)

Have a wonderful weekend everyone :)

Welcome and best wishes to you. You will do great! I am sorry to hear about your leg.

Quick update and welcome to the new additions!
I have kept to my goal of being under my 1200 calories daily. I also did complete cardio at home Monday and Wednesday and got to the gym Tuesday and Thursday. I have to complete my at home cardio tonight but I feel awesome! Hope to see some results on the scale on Monday!
Have a great weekend everyone and keep up the good work!

Well, I tried the WISH boards but there's just not much conversation going. Glad I found this thread.

I re-joined WW this month after making goal in 2003. I am hoping to lose 15 lbs. After 10 days I am down 3.5 lbs!!!! :yay:

The new WW SmartPoints is emphasizing more exercise, fewer carbs and fats. Higher protein. I think it's working for me. I've only really gone over my points on 1 day so far, and for the most part feel pretty satisfied. I'm really having to re-learn everything about how to feed myself. And no matter what I do, it seems I'm always grouchy when I eat low-cal, regardless. The last couple of days have been pretty bad.

I started wearing a FitBit the same day I joined, and got my 26 mile badge today. I'm determined to do this for long-term health. I really don't want to end up with diabetes and joint problems like my parents.

Thanks for the thread! Can't wait to see how far I get before WDW!

I'm up to 14lbs lost! I'm so excited! I wanted to lose 20 lbs by 4/12(disney time!) but I think I might surpass that! I'm so excited!

I hope everyone is having a successful week! Looks like it! Keep up the great work everyone!!

Good work everyone :)

I'm having to be very strong willed as everyone coming to visit keeps bringing me chocolate haha last thing I want to be eating when I can't move!!

Does anyone have any nice fish recipies to share? I'm trying to eat more fish nd chicken

stayed within a 2 pound range of up and down the last week and a half. not eating healthy tomorrow, hope to get back on track monday!!!!

Hello to all and wish a blessed weekend on you all.

Irishfae sorry about your leg....but healthy eating is enough to start the journey...you can tone up later when the cast comes off.

I went to the gym, got my hair cut, shoppeded at costco, picked up middle DD from a bday party. Now Im I'm home getting dinner in the crockpot and bread in the oven... My treat this weekend for sure.

I did sneak on the scale since last week and have lost one pound.:yay:

Hey guys I want to join in! I too am losing weight for Disney. I started on Jan 3rd when my husband and I got fitbits! I love it and its helping me so much! My goal was to lose 71 lbs. I want to lose at least 50 before Oct when we leave for Disney. I am already down 14.4 lbs! Yay! I work out 7 days a week and keep my calories near 1200 to 1300. It's been such hard work! Doesn't matter how I feel, how tired, or sick I get up and at least walk around my house for 30 min a day. Some days doing more like 90 min. Good luck to all and I hope we all have great weighins :yay:

Count me in! I've been losing since October (nearly 20 pounds so far). I want to lose at least 20 more - minimum, before our October trip and be at my goal weight (an additional 10 pounds lost) by my trip with my daughter a year from now. 30 pounds in a year - completely do-able, I just need to make sure to stay on track. Luckily, a friend of mine is my workout buddy and we motivate each other.

Well I think weve finally nailed down our trip dates....Im still looking for offsite condos....off property is our best option with 5 people. Ive messaged a few owners and im just waiting on replies.

I really want a new fitness tracker but I don't know what I want/ need. I had an up24 that could not pair well with my phone and finally after a year failed to charge. I think I would love a surge or a tomtom cardio.... If I wait for one of those it will probably be for my birthday this summer.

Is anyone food/party planning for super bowl?

Since we are celebrating Mardi Gras along with the game, I saved up my WW points all day to have red beans and rice. I substituted brown rice and reduced the meat by about 1/2. By the time I eat a smaller-than-my-usual portion, it should be just fine with a big salad.
