losing weight on the way to Mickey!

Happy Monday. Welcome to the new joiners! It sounds like everyone is on the right track! I am still working on getting on the right track. I did my weigh in for the week and stayed the same. Better than gaining after a Super Bowl and Mardi Gras party weekend. I tried to be good, but I have a thing for chocolate.
This week my goal is to stay below or at 1200 calories per day, even when I work out. I have been using some of my workout calories burned to supplement over calorie days. I hope to match my 5 workout days a week trend I started last week.
Good luck all and hear is to happy losing for Mickey!!

I gained a pound and a half but not surprised. I have a very bad habit of eating out way to often and we have meals with family often. Going to try again this week. Still drinking 64 oz. of water every day. My plan for this week is lots of veggies and chicken. Beyond that I don't know. I will try to do some exercise also-walking.

Glad for everyone that made progress! We can all do this!

Well according to MFP I went over sunday night by 50 cal....so I've been under by 300 yesterday and today....hopefully it will all balence out later....and more so.

I love this thread! I started a nutritional program a friend shared with me last March and have lost and kept off 20 lbs. I am at 192 now and my goal is more of a clothing size than a weight. I am a 12 now and my goal is to be a size 10. We are booked for Disney in June I plan to reach this by the time we go.

Current info: 192lbs - Size 12
Goal info: Size 10 - weight ??
Fitness goal: Be more active so that I will be able to rock the park out with all the miles we'll be walking!
I also use MFP and have a fitbit.

80 pounds down for me since last year! I'm looking forward to the new skinny me at Disney this time around. :) Last time I cringed at every picture I saw of me and I'm excited that things are different this time.

I officially passed my goal weight about 5 pounds ago, but I'm working on vanity weight a little bit and just being really fit. 4-5 pounds from my new goal, although I'm fine if I stay where I'm at too!

Be careful going under 1200. Our bodies need calories to lose. Crazy sounding yet it's true! Keep up the good work!!

Here is my update..its been a while because all 3 of us has been sic! Anyway I've lost 4 lbs ! Mostly because of not eating which is definitely not healthy but having the stomach bug couldn't be helped. I'm slowly increasing my water and still cant eat a lot as my stomach is still very queezey. I haven't been exercising and have mostly been sleeping taking care if my family and trying to work.
As soon as I can I will add walking again as I have booked our vacation and it is confirmed for June!! So I really need to get "crack'n"

16lb to go!!!

Have a good day all!

Awesome! Not so awesome on the sick part but hopefully you are getting better every second! We are going in June too! Booked for the 11-17th at POR. When are you going? Take care of yourself and get some rest!

Once you reach your goal, do you splurge at Disney? I have worked really hard to lose 15lbs in 6 weeks before our trip, but now afrain I will gain it all back during our week there!! Any suggestions? I just can't pass up funnel cake and mickey waffles!!

For me, I've changed to live a healthy lifestyle over the last year instead of 'diet.' So I say YES I am looking forward to my family having the 'Kitchen Sink' as I know we will be still having good nutrition throughout the time before we go, during our time there, and when we come home.

Not saying that we will eat junk all day but yes we will enjoy special treats!

I plan to eat whatever I want at Disney. It is our vacation and I want to enjoy everything there. I also plan to return to watching my weight when our trip is over. I lost 25 lbs. 6 yrs. ago on ww and let myself gain it all back plus some. It has been way more difficult to lose this time. Way more difficult. I have a husband who really works hard to encourage and support me so I am counting on him to keep me on track after vacation! Also, I am thinking I will be getting lots of exercise while there between, walking and keeping up with children and 6 grandchildren!

Yes! We will have a great time! I'd also like to meet up with some Disers and put faces to those just as crazy about Disney as I am!

Good work everyone. Those that have had a bumpy ride recently - loads of well wishes :tinker:

Weekly round up from me is not very exciting. I only managed two aqua classes and two gym sessions this week - it sounds like a bit but remember the aqua classes are designed for seniors (and they put me to shame, again). I managed to have one fast day but had a migraine for my second fast day so decided to listen to my body and eat as per normal.

I didn't jump on the gym scales as there were too many people around so don't know if I've lost any weight - it doesn't *feel* like I have but early days yet!

Have a wonderful rest of week!

Hi everyone, just seen this thread. i started with Slimming World last september and have lost just over 20 lbs, it's the only thing that's ever worked for me, partly because there's no counting calories and I can still eat pasta, lol. I think it's a case of finding what works for you. My sister and her family went paleo last year and she lost lots of weight but that didn't suit me at all, it felt too much like a diet, whereas I need something that I can carry on long term.

Good luck everyone! :)

I've been losing weight for so long now that I think I've permanently changed the way I eat so I doubt I'll go crazy at Disney. They have huge portion sizes at certain places so I hope to do a lot of splitting my meals with kids. But I'm definitely not going to try and track my calories or be in a "diet" frame of mind. If there's a treat I really want, I will get it! I'm not concerned because you do so.much.walking at Disney that you probably will burn off everything you eat anyway! Even if I eat everything I want, I usually come back losing some weight because of my high activity level! :)

Checking in. Today is my weigh in day. I am down 5.5 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks. Thrilled! Especially since we had a cold snap this week, and I do my walking outside. I got very little exercise. Top that with coming down with a cold Wed. evening. I feel like I did pretty well to lose 2 lbs!

I'm facing a mini-vacation in the woods. We do a lot of cooking, snacking and drinking wine. I tried to plan groceries so that I have my go-to foods available. Hopefully I can resist too much temptation and not go off the rails. Luckily it will be a nice sunny weekend and there's lots of opportunity to get outside and move.

Hang in there everyone! Mickey is waiting!!

I'd like to join in. Congrats to all of you who are doing so well and hope those of you down with injuries and illness get better soon! I'm trying to lose about 10 lbs -- lost 5 so far, and 10 more to go! I'm also trying to simply be healthier and exercise more regularly and make better dietary choices. Honestly, I have to say my little ones are inspiring! They are choosing fruit and veggies, consciously saying "well, this helps me be big and strong and healthy". So, heck, if my 6YO can be more conscious of his choices, I sure as heck better be able to! Had a bit of a slow down with a sprained ankle in December and then a lovely bad cold. Looking a silver lining as well -- I have some terrible genes so my IBS and GERD limit my "bad" food choices considerably and my heart issue is motivation for exercising more. So fingers crossed to keep on!
