The scale is not my friend. One lousy pound is all I've lost? You have got to be kidding.I'm not throwing in the towel just yet. Still watching what I eat and still resisting the chocolate that is all over my house. Dh is out of town for the week so instead of my walk outside I did 10 min. wii boxing and 30 min free step. I am so bummed. I just want to lose this weight and I feel I'm really giving it my all. Maybe this week will be better.
I strongly suggest you have multiple methods of measuring progress. That way, if your weight stalls for a bit, you'll still see progress in other areas and know that your efforts aren't for nothing. Consider keeping a chart of certain measurements and compare weekly not just weight but those measurements as well as how much effort you're putting into your workouts.
Progress can be measured in weight lost, body fat lost, reduction in an area measured or an improvement in your workout. There's probably some other ways of measuring progress as well. Just using one method can be demoralizing when it doesn't change much for a week or two.
GrumpyOne said it right there is so many ways to measure your progress stay off the scale for a while and just do your thing ... As a woman I can't stand to look at any number measurements or weight.... so I just measure how good I am feeling.... If I am feeling down I exercise either by playing with the DD or the 3 dogs ... and I start to feel better..... Know the saying an "apple keeps the doctor away" .... Well its true eat an apple when your feeling down about how you look and see if it makes you bright and shining .... Your fine Tonya remeber one pound leads to two and then three .... and so on....
you are all my inspiration... I have not had a good healthy week... this Easter candy is way to tempting... and being on vacation its hard...
but at dinner last night I did have a salad....and only 1/2 a sandwich for lunch... but then there were some jelly beans, a few pecan/carmel clusters... and a glass of wine.... but this morning I took my little two year old niece for a walk on the beach.... it was fun.. not much exercise...but fun.... today we are off to another baseball game.....then a picnic with the baseball team...
Hope your having fun .... remeber its not what you eat as long as you have it in moderation ....
Have a fun at the game and pinic
