Hey all!
Great day today in terms of food and exercise. I am really low for the day so far...850 cals. I will be up for several hours yet, so I am sure I will have something. Raw veggies maybe.
For working out--I ran 5 miles this morning and followed that with 15 minutes of core. I had a tennis match scheduled for this evening, but it got rained out. So I went to the gym and got in my boxing class that I love so much. I haven't done one in a couple of weeks, and I feel it! GREAT upper body work out.
So, why all of this renewed effort? Glad you asked.
I have a new goal.
10 pounds off by Sept. 23 (that is 7 weeks away, FYI).
Now for most people, 10 pounds in 7 weeks is a reasonable goal. About 1.5 pounds per week. Manageable. For me, though, this is herculean. (cause, you know, I don't lose actual pounds

...I lose inches, I look better, I fit in different size clothes, but the scale doesn't move!)
10 pounds will put me at goal. 125. (Oh, to see those 120s again! I am 5'2" by the way.) And Sept. 23rd is the goal date because...drum roll please....
I just booked a Disney trip! Yes, we are going in 7 weeks! WOO HOO.
I routinely check the air fare. And we have known for a while that we want to go this fall. So I have been checking air fare waiting for it to come down. And today it did! So I called DVC to see what was available other than SSR and OKW. And...get this...I GOT BCV!!!! At 7 weeks out, I got Beach Club!
So anyway...you have all seen my before picture. The one that made me run screaming to the WISH boards. That was taken with Figment (my fav. ). I am bound and determined to go back and have that picture taken again and just LOVE it. I can't even stand to look at it since I am so saddened with my appearance there. And it was the first time I had ever had my pic taken with Figment. So it really breaks my heart that I can't stand the picture. So that is my new motivation for the next several weeks.
I am feeling really energized and on it right now, but I have a lot of hurdles coming up. This coming Friday we head out on our boat for the week-end. DH and I always have wine each night and special food, and we take the kids to our family's favorite restaurant, etc. Then the next week-end is a big camping trip for 4 days. We always go with a whole group of people...and much of our activity centers around eating and drinking. I can manage the boat ok. But I am really going to have to think about camping. It is hard to bring tons of veggies camping (there is only so much cooler space, etc.). We totally rough it. Maine wilderness. No services. Just the woods. LOVE it. But it is going to make eating well difficult.
So, that is my news! SO much planning to do!
