I am so overwhelmed you guys... thank you.
The place I'm working at is a non profit tax credit place, the only one like it in Georgia. It's a top of the line resort for those over the age of 55, but they must be independent. I wish there were more for me to work at, but most other places require medical personnel, I was doing the marketing because it is still a new entity.
I never thought I'd get this involved, but knowing how close I was with my parents, this didn't surprise anyone. I would've done it for free.
So far I've only told one resident, she broke down and cried. I couldn't stand to see that anymore today... that was hard.
Today I had to fix a wheelchair for one of my Dads, check on one of my Moms who was taken to the hospital, call a paramedic for another Dad and kneel at the feet of a 91yo woman who was going the funeral of her 72yo daughter. They all hugged me and said "what would we do without you?"
I can't stand this....
