Losing the best job I ever had....

So sorry about losing your job Robin. I hope you find another job just as rewarding as this one was.

Words alone cannot express how sorry I am that you lost your job, especially one that had so much meaning for you. Cyber hugs will have to do until I see you and Michael in less than a month. Prayers for you as you once again enter the job market.

I'm sorry about your job Robin. Hopefully you will find the perfect job very soon!

Have you considered volunteering at the center where you worked? It sounds like you really developed a bond with the residents, and I'm sure they would love to see you, even if it was for a little while once a week.

I'm so sorry! (I'd love to be able to say, just once, that I love my job... ) But you never know, something else, maybe even better may come along. In the mean time, take care!

But, remember, this too shall pass, and behind every cloud is a silver lining.......Faith:hug: :daisy:

Awww Robin, I am so sorry. I was hoping that you would've been able to stay on.... but now that you have the experience in this type of work, is there any way they can help direct you to other operations such as this? Perhaps closer to WDW? ;) Just trying to find the silver lining. DH took a new job 2 months ago and it has been rough. paycut, me working non-stop, kids home from school...I keep looking for that open position in FL., no luck yet for us, however...in your case assisted living type "resorts" have a larger clientele in Fl., maybe, just maybe there is someplace that would love to have your special touch. Sending  your way, and to Michael too!

I hope find a another job soon. Just keep looking you will find something better. A Employer is realize what a talented person you is. That what I keep telling myself.

The job market is suppose to be improveing but I don't see yet.

Iam so sorry to hear this. I had hoped it would become a permanent position.

Now that you have those skills in a "consultant" role, can you apply those to another assisted living community?

I know how it is to be unemployed , it really really sucks! Please let me know what I can do for you.

Robin, I know God has something better for you and Micheal:D

:( So sorry you'll be leaving a job that means so much to you Robin. As you've said, you will find something else, I do hope that it's soon. You'll be in my thoughts.

Sorry to hear this, Robin. You have made many people happy by being you. Mt best, I know you will do well, and continue to spread the joy. Any chance of referral to another home??

I am so sorry to hear your sad news, Robin :(. The good thing is that it sounds like you may have found your passion as far as careers are concerned. It sounds like you have a genuine, compassionate love of the elderly. I'm sure you can find another place to use this gift ::yes::.

So sorry Robin. I sure hope you can find something comparable to what you are doing now.:D

Try to remember, God doesn't close one door without opening another.:goodvibes

I am so overwhelmed you guys... thank you.

The place I'm working at is a non profit tax credit place, the only one like it in Georgia. It's a top of the line resort for those over the age of 55, but they must be independent. I wish there were more for me to work at, but most other places require medical personnel, I was doing the marketing because it is still a new entity.

I never thought I'd get this involved, but knowing how close I was with my parents, this didn't surprise anyone. I would've done it for free.

So far I've only told one resident, she broke down and cried. I couldn't stand to see that anymore today... that was hard.

Today I had to fix a wheelchair for one of my Dads, check on one of my Moms who was taken to the hospital, call a paramedic for another Dad and kneel at the feet of a 91yo woman who was going the funeral of her 72yo daughter. They all hugged me and said "what would we do without you?"

I can't stand this....

Good luck, Robin.

I'm sure you'll find something just as nice - you deserve it!

the world needs more wonderful and caring people like you in it Robin!

Best Wishes
