My son lost his first tooth at Disney while we were having breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Our server made a huge deal of it, bringing him a special placemat, a special cupcake and announcing it to our section of the restaurant and leading them in applause. Minnie came over and gave him a big hug and fussed over him. It was really special for him.
Fast forward to the following year when his twin sister had a loose tooth. The kid refused to lose it until our Disney trip because she wanted the same special treatment. I kept trying to downplay it because who knows if that kind of magic will strike twice.
She and her Dad were fooling around one night on our trip and he popped the tooth right out. It had only been hanging on by a thread (TMI). I had brought a little Figment stuffed animal to put under her pillow, along with a little money and she was happy that the tooth fairy came, but of course, it wasn't like what happened to her twin.
The next morning we went to visit Tink and friends. When my daughter walked up to the yellow one whose name escapes me right now. She saw the gap in my daughters smile and exclaimed "The tooth fairy told me you would be coming today!" That made my dd smile even bigger. It was just another little magical moment that Disney does so well.
