Lose Free Dining if Reservation Date is Changed?

My family may have to change our reservation dates due to work conflicts. Our reservation has free dining. Will we lose our free dining if we change our dates? Even if we change within the free dining dates?? I called and the person I spoke with wasn't very sure of what to do.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!!
 
If you move it out of the free dining promotion period then yes, you will lose it.

I think to move it inside the promotion period you have to change it to dates that have free dining rooms available at the resort and room category you want.
 
As long as there is availability for the resort and room type and during the window, yes you should be able to get free dining still. I would suggest calling again and asking another CM, or if you booked with a travel agent they should be able to help you out.
 
There have to be free dining rooms available for your new dates. Having it already and moving it within the promotion won't automatically mean you get to keep it.

Availability has been really limited. I'd have a backup just in case.
 

We were all set with FD Sept. 5th- 13th. For unpredictable heatlh issues we have to postpone Oct 3th-11th. The cast member I spoke to told me that since FD offer has now expired we loose it if we modify our travel dates, even if we check-inn in a period where FD was available.
Actually they cancell your reservation and book another one... I was so disapointed:sad1:

Unfortunately, you were given incorrect information. If you haven't already cancelled and rebooked, I'd call back. You can change dates and keep FD as long as the new dates fall within the FD promo dates (or at least the check in date is within the valid dates) and there is availability under the FD promo for the resort/room type you have booked. Since the FD promo has expired, you would have to speak to someone in guest services as CRO doesn't usually have access to expired promos. With that said, guest services does have the ability to check availability on expired promos as well as the authority to make the change, should what you want to change to has availability under that promo.


OP - I'd call and ask to speak with someone in guest services as they should be able to help you.

Yep diffidently speak to Guest Service. We changed our resort due to the kiddie pool being closed while there and they moved us without a problem but I had to talk to GS. The first time I called I didn't really know what I wanted to do so I had to call back and the 2nd reservation girl fought me for 30 minutes trying to tell me that GS couldn't do it and that if she didn't see FD availability they wouldn't and that a pool being closed is not a big deal...yada yada. Finally she transferred me and I moved my room ;) and kept FD.
 
Always ask for a supervisor when you have a complicated problem. I've found that the CM will say no, but the supervisor can make things happen. They carry the magic wand! LOL. Don't take no for an answer!
 
Is there a specific number for Guess services or when calling the reservations and tickets # they will transfert me to Guess services?
