Loosen your belt buckle-We're doing Deluxe Dining!Our 12/10 PTR!Update 12/18 TR Start

I bought those same glow bracelets at the craft store last week! I figured the kids can take the bracelets apart and make thir own necklaces if they want to.

I love the shirts you've bought for Livy. Too cute!

The glow bracelets are great! We also use them to decorate the stroller so it stands out more at night in the sea of strollers after we get off a ride. I love all of Olivia's Disney clothes too! I think we could go for weeks without doing laudndry and she would still have more! Her wardrobe is all Disney or Gymboree...pathetic I know.

Shhh, don't tell my DH! I've been doing more shopping for our trip (yes, even though it is still 143 days away)!

I was at the craft store yesterday and of course the $1 bin caught my eye as usual. I dug through and found these:
012.jpg

For a buck they are perfect! They only had bracelets, but I will be on the lookout for necklaces as well. We also still have the light up necklace we bought Olivia on our very first trip that we take back every time.

Next we went to Toy R Us, where I found this fun light up toy for only $2.50!
013.jpg

She has a bunch of small Disney characters from a play set that are about 2.5 inches tall, and I plan on stealing the Mickey and slapping some super glue on him and sticking him on the top.

After those stops, we hit up the mall. Since we had already found her Cinderella dress, she just needed some shoes. I wanted to get shoes that I knew she would be comfortable in all day. After hitting a few stores, we found these at Payless:
011.jpg

Olivia loved them right away, and since I had a 20% off coupon, they only ended up being about $8.00!

Here is a pic of the Cinderella dress we got:
006.jpg

Sorry it's a bad picture...the lighting in our house is a bit odd... I liked this dress better than the ones from the park and Disney store! I think it's prettier and it's not too heavy. Since December can either be 80 degrees or 50 degrees down here, I wanted to make sure it wouldn't be too hot, but also had enough give that if I needed to put a turtleneck under it, it would still be comfy.

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I got Livy a shirt from the Disney store online....I finally remembered to take a picture of it!
008.jpg

I think this ended up being less than $10!

I think I am obsessed with shopping online.... :rolleyes1 I got an email from the Disney store yesterday and they had a deal going for free personalization (normally $7.95 an item)!!!! I tried really hard not to buy anything....I caved this morning though...
I bought Olivia this shirt last year before our September trip:
014.jpg

It was onsale then ($7.99) and she loves it! She wears it anytime it is clean and asks me to wash it when it is dirty. The problem is that she has just about outgrown it!!! :scared1:

I figured it wouldn't hurt to look since the personalization was free and all... Well they had the polo alright....it was onsale again for $7.99 (from $16.99). Of course this was the breaking point for me! Before you could say "Supercalifragalisticexpialidocious" I was designing one! The only color they had left in her size was red (totally fine with that since our trip is in December), so then I went with a white Tink and "Olivia" written in the Disney font in white under Tink.

Of course I couldn't help myself from looking around the site... As I was looking Olivia saw the backpacks...oh no, I was in trouble now. You see, backpacks are like her crack...she can't get enough of them! I saw that they had the design your own backpack onsale for $15.00 (again with free personalization), so I being the softie I am said sure and let Olivia design her own backpack. She chose the light pink with dark pink trim and Cinderella and then Olivia written in white in the Disney font under Cinderella's picture. After that I had to step away from the computer so we went out for a walk!

I will definitely post pics when the new items come in!

Just remember though...this is our little secret, DH does NOT have to know. ;)

WWWWWWoooooooooooohoooooooooooo! Another pre- shopper!

Did you see that the Disney Store is 20 percent off regular merch right now? :woohoo: Very hard to stay away for us. lol.

Great deal on the glow stick/bracelet! Must remember to look up my local craft store.

And totally. What happens in Dis stays in Dis.. right? :rotfl:

Glad you subbed (I hate it when I find a PTR or TR I like and then forget to sub!)! I'll say it again...I am SO jealous that you own at BLT!!! Having the kitchen will be great! We stayed in a 1 bdrm at Saratoga Springs last September, and the kitchen was great! I loved being able make breakfast and dinner one night as well right in the room. It was also great to have a real freezer to freeze water bottles and juice boxes since it was so hot then! I have to say, my favorite thing was the washer and dryer!!!! We got TOTALLY drenched one night at the MK (the water in the streets was over our ankles) and of course DH only brought 1 pair of shoes, and the stroller was totally drenched even with the rain cover, so being able to dry that stuff without payng $2 and fighting with other guests to even get a dryer, was awesome. I also loved that the only dirty clothes we came home wth were what we were wearing that day! It made upacking so much nicer. It was easy to toss a load in before we left in the morning, toss it in the dryer on our midday break and then fold it up real quick when we got back in the evening!

Thanks for your thoughts on some of our ADR choices!!! Cali grill is probably one of the choices I am most excited about! I am hoping that we can catch the MVMCP fireworks while we are there! I'm not a red meat eater at all (haven't eaten any since college about 10 years ago), by my DH can sure eat his share and mine!
yes, the laundry will be a huge plus. i hadn't thought of it! we did do laundry at the WL this last trip, since it was 10 days and 10 nights. i think we will enjoy the extra space to spread out too. we do take midday breaks for about 2 hours, so we will get to enjoy the room for sure. can't wait to see the pools too!

Cali Grill has great variety too- do you like sushi? i don't, but my BF ate a ton of it there and loved it. I've also had the pork there which was good, but the filet was my favorite. There were some great vegetarian choices too. You will love it! :)

What adorable shoes- love them! i try and stay away from disney and disney outlet online- i go crazy too! i've been buying some treats for my son too- so you aren't alone there. the dollar store always has the glow in the dark stuff, so plan to buy some of that. i even saw a few strollers in december decorated with mini christmas lights- so cute! must have been battery operated kind!

Thanks for keeping my secret! I did see the 20% off....luckily for my bank account they didn't have anything I wanted in the right sizes! We are planning on getting Olivia the big Cinderella Castle playset for Christmas and I was going to pick it up with the 20% off, but you can't use it on Disney parks merchandise :headache: I guess we will just have to get it when we go. The funny thing is, my birthday is tomorrow and when people ask what I want, I tell them Disney gift cards! I have also been going to the store and picking up $25 Disney gift cards whenever I have a bit of extra money laying around and I have 2 as of now, but every little bit helps!

I do like sushi (but I'm pretty timid with my choices...lol), that is actually one of the things I am looking forward to! I have heard great things about the pork, and (as of now) that is my choice.

I have seen the battery operated lights on strollers as well. I am still debating doing it...not sure of the logistics of folding up the stroller,etc...I might buy a set and try it at home and see how it works.

Well, I promised that when my secret purchase from the Disney store came in I would post pictures. They came yesterday, and I am totally pleased! I love how the shirt and backpack came out!

(Please ignore the huge mess that Olivia created in the background!!)The backpack is the perfect size for Olivia, and she LOVES it! She wanted to wear it to bed!

The shirt is great too! I think it is the softest shirt I have ever felt in my life!

In other news, not too much to report on. I am in the process of planning outfits for our days. This trip I actually talked my DH into matching a few days!!! I am so excited about this! Although he still thinks it's "nerdy", he agreed to do it a couple of days! I have been scouring the DISign boards trying to find good stuff! I will probably finish up that list in the next day or two and post our choices to get some input from you guys!

How is everyone else doing? Any big weekend plans? I am going to a Pampered Chef party tonight, and my birthday is tomorrow so we are doing the family thing. Then on Sunday I'm working (I work about 8 hours a week in a church nursery), and then the afternoon is free. Nothing exciting I know!

Isn't secret shopping the best! :lmao: What fun purchases you found. The personalized shirt and back pack are perfect. :lovestruc I really like the light up toy from Toys R Us. My kids still use the light up toys we bought in '08 and I already have glow necklaces backed away too. Have fun at Pampered Chef; I love their stuff.

Subbing in! We are there the same week as you are! We check into AKL on 12-3... my birthday! :cool1: Looking at your plans, looks like we will be at MK the same day on the 6th!

Glad you joined in! What a nice birthday present for you!! I love AKL! It is definitely one of my favorites (but ALL Disney hotels are my favorite)! Maybe we will run in to each other at MK (because of course in my fantasy world nobody else, but me and my little group of DIS friends will be at WDW when we are :rotfl:). I'm hopping over to your PTR right now!

I'm catching up since I've been gone the past week because of my test but the buys are super cute and great!!!

I was thinking about buying the glow sticks for the MNSSHP in Oct when I go with my friend(s)! We want to plan costumes. I'm not the costumes planning type of person. My costumes growing up were from some store while our next door neighbors always had cute homemade type costumes. Oh well, we'll figure it out and hopefully it doesn't break the bank haha.

The personalized backpack and shirt are so cute!!! :lovestruc

I can't believe your DH agreed to wear matching outfits...mine would NEVER! He doesn't even like wearing Disney shirts in Disney, unless it's the perfect shirt! I tried talking him into buying the Spanish monorail shirt and he refused! I think that is the coolest shirt ever and he thinks it's lame! :confused3 :rotfl:

So here they are:
Sunday December 5th
Lunch: Yak & Yeti 1:30 (new)
Dinner: California Grill 7:45 (new)

Monday December 6th
Breakfast: Kona Cafe 7:45 (new-I SOOO want to try Tonga Toast)!

Dinner: Garden Grill 4:55 (new)

Wednesday December 8th

Dinner: Ohana 8:05 (new)

Thursday December 9th

Friday December 10th
Breakfast: Chef Mickey's 9:55 (a HUGE favorite from EVERY trip)
Lunch: Planet Hollywood 3:00 (DH's only request, he loves this place and I hate it)

So, that is what we have. Keeping in mind that we have been to WDW many, many times and don't have the "need to see it all" mentality, what do you think? Have you eaten at any of our "new" restaurant choices? What did you think of them?

Hi there! I popped over from the December thread. Your daughter is adorable! :cutie:

This is my family's first Christmas trip and we're staying at the Pop from November 27th to December 7th. We'll be at MK on the 6th too. I love that you're going to 1900 Park Fare after BBB. Drizella and Anastasia will be so jealous!!

Your ADRs are great. Of your new ones, we've been to 1900 Park Fare (soooo fun, the stepsisters are hilarious!), Hollywood & Vine (so excited they've added Handy Manny this year!), Cape May (fabulous atmosphere), LeCellier (mushroom filet mignon...drool!), Ohana breakfast (best EVER and my family's favorite!), and Teppan Edo (yummy and a great experience).

I love those adorable shoes you got for Olivia's BBB day. Subbing in!

I tried talking him into buying the Spanish monorail shirt and he refused! I think that is the coolest shirt ever and he thinks it's lame! :confused3 :rotfl:

I LOVE that shirt! That and the "Mine! Mine! Mine!" Nemo seagull shirt! :rotfl:

I would totally get the glow sticks! You can find them SO cheap at craft stores and the dollar store these days. As for costumes, I haven't worn a costume since I was a kid, so I am no help there! I bet you can find something pretty darn cheap and still look awesome!

The personalized backpack and shirt are so cute!!! :lovestruc

I honestly can't believe he agreed to wearing matching outfits either!!! I think part of it was that Olivia looked at him and said pretty please (which is his downfall....). I have only planned them for 3 days, so it shouldn't be too bad. One of them is actually a Florida Gators shirt with Mickey, so that was an easy sell. The other easy thing, is that I do all the packing so he doesn't even see what I have brought until we get there! I love the spanish monorail shirt too!!! I have been thinking of getting that for him as well....too many stinking choices!

So glad you subbed! Thanks for all the input on our ADRs! I knew there had to be someone out there who had been! I am excited for 1900 as well (although I have heard the food really isn't great, but the characters are super. Was that your experience? The really funny thing about LeCellier is that everyone keeps telling me how great the steaks are (which my DH will LOVE), but I don't eat red meat at all!!! For me, it's going to be all about the cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread!

I remember there were some unusal choices in the buffet, and I'm not really an adventurous kinda gal, so it gave me less things to choose from. But I didn't dislike what I had. Does that make sense? The characters are fantastic. I have a breakfast ADR at 1900 PF for our trip, (I wanted something new for us that would get me to the Grand Floridian to see the Christmas decorations) and I really flip-flopped between the breakfast and the dinner because of the characters. I'm committed to meeting them at their character greet instead.

The pretzel bread is soooooo yummy at LeCellier but I've never had the cheddar cheese soup. We've always gone free dining so no apps and I've never tried it. How very un-Canadian of me! :rotfl:

That makes perfect sense (to me anyway!!!!)! I'm not really too adventurous eater either....I would be happy with the stuff from the kids menu if I couldn't find anything else. I know what you mean about wanting to see all the holidaydecorations at the resorts! That was a big factor when I was choosing our meals. I knew I wanted to see the gingerbread house at GF, the carousel at BC, and everything at the Poly and CR....the only thing I am a bit sad about it that we cancelled our ADR at WCC so unless we make a special trip over, we wont get to see it. I am really trying to squeeze in a carriage ride at WL, but I don't think we can fit it in! :scared1:

The personalized stuff is so cute! I love the Disney font and her name looks so good in that font!

My husband would not go for dressing alike either. He wouldn't refuse... he would just roll his eyes at me and then get dressed in something else. The funny thing is, sometimes we will be dressed alike & not even realize it until 1/2 way through the day.

Happy late birthday, by the way!!

Thanks for the birthday wishes! It's funny that you mention accidently dressing alike, we end up doing it too! It is funniest when we end up doing it going out to dinner. I will get Olivia ready, and then myself while DH is in the shower and then he gets himself ready and walks to the living room and we will realize that all 3 of us match! I really do think he is only doing it b/c it will only be for 2, maybe 3 days and they are pretty simple shirts and they have a sports theme (typical guy). I guess the true test will be when it comes time to pack....

How are you doing? Enjoying your summer? How big is Dylan getting these days? Olivia is still a peanut, when she was at the doctor last week she was 27.5 pounds and 36 inches tall (she is 2 months younger than Dylan)....I know he looks like a giant in all of your DL pics in your TR and that was last year!!!

I'm doing great. My job recently had cut backs (I work for a school here in California), so I was cut back 1 month of pay and was required to take most of July off. It has been a mixed blessing... it is hard to lose a month's pay but I have enjoyed having 3 weeks off with Dylan that I would not normally have. We have been gone most of those 3 weeks visiting w/ family & friends and today was my first day back at work. It was a little rough, but ok. :rolleyes1

Dylan is huge. Most people think he is 4 years old. At his 2 year old doctor appointment he was 38" and that was last September! I tried to measure him the other day and I'm pretty sure he is around 42" now & around 40 pounds. He just keeps growing, so we are going to have a tall boy on our hands. I think he is going to be a little athlete because he has not seen a basketball/soccer ball/ volleyball that he hasn't loved.

When is Olivia's birthday? Dylan will be 3 in mid-September. He has a friend that was born 2 1/2 months after him (Dec 1) and that boy is still quite a bit smaller than him too. Is that close to her birthday? She is so cute & petite! I loved the pictures of her with the backpack. So girlie!
